But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking
- update spreadsheets
- send some money to savings
- storecupboard lunch and tea
- check and water all my plants and seedlings
- repot some of bigger seedlings
- lttle bit of hokey cokey
- little bit of ironing
- clean one room so no housework at weekend
- make a loaf in breadmaker
- aim for no spend day
- swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
- add some more things to my 101 in 1001 challenge list
- sparkle a lot

Hi to all the regulars and welcome to any new posters:D Hugs to any poorly people, good luck anyone with interviews, pah to broken cars and good luck with new business ideas xxx
Have a great day everyone, just the normal groundhog day here today - roll on the weekend again
Catch up with you all later xxx

***not looking forward to work this morning. I was on facebook this morning, and someone from work had called me a joke! and b**tched about me to the guy who done the job previously  . I am going to speak to the agency to pull me out of there and the team leader to complain - I would like an apology from the person.******
Sorry rant over,
Have a good day everyone

Morning everyone :hello:
(Just SM and Candy so far, though Candy's list is pretty short :rotfl: )
Not quite so rushed this morning, though I still have loads of work to do  Every day my to do list has at least 2 days work on it. I am on a 4 day a week contract and always manage to have to work at least 6
Never mind, contract ends soon :j though I am not sure what happens next
Today I will:
Have nice porridge for breakfast (done)
Check online banking and looked at online newspaper for free (done)
Made max allowed monthly overpayment on mortgage (done) :j
Transferred money from surveys from Paypal to bank account
(only £8 but all helps)
Ring up Debenhams finance and check whether my card payment has been taken properly  from trying on their useless website and ending up on their expensive phone line. Once I have confirmation it has been cleared, I am closing it. Far too much hassle!
Pennies from purse to piggy (done)
See to animals (half done, must get on in a minute & do the chooks)
Lots of work (obviously)
Try to do half an hour in the garden this evening
Walk dogs
Meals from stores
Stick to my diet.
Have a good day everyone :j0 -
Oops Candy has caught up now :rotfl:
Sorry to hear about your Facebook experience. It is wierd isn't it, people use it as if they are just speaking to people in private, and seem not to be aware that everyone can see it
Try not to let it ruin your day, and don't do anything too hasty jobwise because of one ignorant and petty person. Do complain though !!!0 -

Sending you some hugs candy xxx One of the reasons I love being a lone worker - no office politics to deal with - makes life much simpler - don't let them get you down. xxx0 -
Good morning:hello:
Awwww Candy...poor you, horrible people eh, ignore them:mad:
Hope everyone well...I'm not bad, still hobbling around with pain at times, but doing nothing seems to help. Mind you, I'm bored stiff....lots of things I want to be doing and the house needs a good tidy and clean:o
I suppose at least I know it's the Crohn's...well, they think it is, but still have to wait for the scan to confirm it before whatever it is can be treated. So, I don't know how long I'll be feeling useless...not good. Been advised to follow not quite a liquid diet, but more liquid than solids, so I'm hungry:rolleyes: But I guess, the less food going in, the less work for my poor intestines! (sorry, too much info??:D )
So, might treat myself to some books from Amazon this week, I have a £10 voucher from a survey site, I think I deserve it;)
Ok, here's a little list for today.....- Check online banking - all ok:p
- Scratchcards - 10p and 25p
- read papers online
- washing on - quickwash then on line to dry
- school dinners for girls (roast, lucky them) so nice easy sarnies for dinner
- Try and hoover/sweep floors
- empty airing cupboard of clean clothes
- heating off
- nip to work and get teacher to sign my NVQ evidence
I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Good morning all
Candy - ignore those people (although do complain about it). Dawn is right - people seem to act like itsa private conversation even though loads of others can see it!
Milly - poor you! Hope it improves soon for you
I have what i tend to refer to as a "free day". Not actually free but don't have to actually BE anywhere till work, Piglet doesn't have to go to nursery etc. So my day is my own till 3pm when I take him to my Mums. I shall make the most of it! So today I will / have:
* Checked on-line banking - all DD's gone out so now looking a bit sparse till CB's go in! :rotfl:
* Go to market to buy goldfish food - SO much cheaper than Pets R Us or whatever they're called
* Let Piglet spend some pocket money at toy stall at market (a treat as I only venture up there about once a year !!)
* Storecupboard / free dinner - free piece of boiling bacon donated by my Mum, last of the bargain pots bought in sainsburys
* Charge mobile at work
* Make piglets reward chart this evening
* Do any surveys that come through - saving points for an amazon voucher
* Order some prints of piglet on-line
* Put small change into Bertie Bassett
* Post a couple of birthday cards early so can use second class instead of first
Thats it for today. Hope everyone else is ok!
Miss P

Morning everyone
Candy - Don't let the pettiness of one person put you off. Just ignore them, you are a better person than they are. Rise above it.

Candy - I can't stand those types of people - xxx - I took myself off of facebook and bebo for a similar reason - its too public for my liking - and unlike being here (where everyone is nice) some folks on facebook and bebo can be a bit too rude - they forget the folk are real and they can 'hear' the comments they make.
