Laptop is sooo slow starting up

Hi everyone, there is plenty of great advice on the forum for those with slow computers, which I've been absorbing over the past few days. For those with slow computers, it always seems to be the recommendation to run a Malwarebytes scan and then a Hijack This log, so I've posted my results below and I'd be grateful for any pointers on what I can remove or fix to try and speed things up. Laptop takes a good 5 minutes or more to get to stable desktop.

Stop some of the none essential programs loading up at startup. For example nearly all of these don't need to load with the PC as they can be loaded when you need them:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HP Software Update] C:\Program Files\HP\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hpqSRMon] C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqSRMon.exe

Thanks so much for that. I'll do the fix on the two that Rik popped up with, but in terms of stopping the others from launching that 'thelawns' listed, do I need to go into individual programs/tray icons and stop them launching or do I just 'fix' them using Hijack this?

Try stoppin them in each program first.

Otherwise, you could venture into the registry to do it, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know what your doing!

If you do then type 'regedit' in Run. Then goto the following tree: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run

In there you will see the programs which run on startup. Simply delete the values you don't want. Only delete ones which you know you don't want to start though and nothing you are unsure about.

you can stop them running with spybot, which you have...

go to Mode-advanced-tools-system startup...and you can uncheck them there to prevent them starting up on boot-up..spybot will also carry some useful info on some of the others, i.e. if they can be switched off also :)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

I wouldnt FIX them as you might not get them running again

Download CCLEANER (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ make sure YAHOO TOOLBAR is unticked on installation)
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)
    Then goto TOOLS and STARTUP
Untick whatever you dont want to load up with your computer (reboot to take effect)

safer disabling them first to see if your system is stable without...if not you can use the same process to restart any that cause a problem ;)

The problem is, you then have spybot or ccleaner running on startup too!

I agree with gunjack though, try disabling them before you delete them.

For example, you don't want to stop a printer driver loading or antivirus software as these are essential.
