I got a faulty box from sky and the engineer came out and got it all owkring again, i made sure he didnt leave until the box was working 100%. offer them a brew and some biscuits and they will wait til the job is done. It turned out that the box we had was second hand so it already had a fault before it got to our house...0

The box I had before was brand new! However I can notice the difference already! TV Guide comes up straight away where as before it took about 10seconds to appear.
Hoping this new box will last longer than 5 days but who knows?0 -

Must be starting at the bottom and working my way up
I remember the days when you could choose what box you wanted online!
Wether or not theyve upgraded them not I dunno. But Thomsons are well known for developing faulty PSU units:idea:0 -
Engineer tried to tell me not to believe everything I read as he has had sky+ for a few years and only gets the occasional no signal!
I told him he probably has one of those rare sony boxes! Well 8 days into sky contract and already on second box. Am I right in thinking that for my 12 month contract, sky are responsible for replacing/repairing if it goes t**s up again? Or will I have to take that insurance thingy?
