Turn the car engine off when driving downhill

This may be a bit dodgy.
Try putting your car into neutral (and take your foot of the clutch) also when approaching a junction, traffic lights, round about, lowering of speed limit - anywhere where you might be applying the brakes soon, and criuse down to the speed or stop using your brakes less, should also save on wear and tear on your brakes!!
I do this all the time, but OH reckons it's not safe (though I'm sure it must be safer than tuning the engine off as you can knock it back into gear quick enough), not sure anyone got any opinions?

    Nightowl.

Wouldn't recommend either to new or less than confident drivers!!!!

I feel I must be the grown up here and apologise. I'd been working so hard

and was so stressed what with my job as a temp for a very reputable beauty

company that I just suppose I had to react in a bad way when a couple of

imature people started insulting me. I also was suffering from lack of sleep

because of my other half's demands in the bedroom.

I have turned over a new leaf now babes. I now totally believe in karma and

    meditation, it's saved my life.

Still find the time for a round of bacardi cocktails of course!!

Anyways I'll be back soon, don't fret, I'm off on a spiritual retreat in wales. Send you a postie!!!
