I am assuming the hospital doctor has declared her fit to travel or Thomson would not take her on a flight.. I would leave it in the hands of Thomson. They will know the situation and hopefully cabin crew will be briefed. The cost a flight might be needed to help with hosptal bills if she is not insured for the condition. Just make sure she really is fit to travel.
