Hi
Seem to spend loads on yoghurt and been looking at these, did try easi yo but found it expensive.
Am I right in thinking that if I buy from lakeland and find it is not for me then I can return it for a full refund?
Thanks

I`ve got one and i love it. I was making it in a flask before and couldn`t make enough of it as i turn some into cheese so i bought the lakeland one.
I doubt that you would want to return it once tried

I use a Mr M greek yogurt as a starter as its thick and creamy and blitz fruit in the blender as flavourings. I freeze the flavourings in ice cube trays and thaw as needed.
My fave flavouring so far is apples cinnamon and sultanas simmered in a pan and blitzed.

Not having much luck with it!
Bought 1 on sunday-had to do something while the forum was down!
Anyhow used aldi `light` nat yogurt and value skimmed uht milk, and all I got was warm milk.
Rang lakeland and they said put 2 tablespoons on nat yog in and 1 of dried milk powder and warm milk first! tired all that and I must admit it was better than 1st lot, but still runny. They also said to leave it longer.
How long do you leave yours?

I put 1 small tub of yogurt in mine (usually asda's greek), UHT milk and 2 tablespoons of dried milk, add the boiling water and leave for 8 hours ... yummy every time.
Oh and you don't need the nat yog every time, just one every 8-10 attempts, the rest of the time i use the last bit of the previous tub.
Also you need to make sure the yogurt your using is LIVE not all yogurt is, check the label it should tell you, otherwise you will just get warm slightly yogurty milk. This months aim :- Stick to food Budget / find £100 for my car insuranceMay GC :- £250/£234.55 :T:A:TJune GC :- £150/£127.37:eek:0 -
It does sound like you may have used plain yoghurt instead of plain live yoghurt.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0

Low fat foods have to contain less than 5% fat which makes whole milk at 3.6-4% fat a low fat food;)0 -

Hi Crockpot,
i`ve not tried the aldi yogurt so i can`t comment on that.
I have tried Longley farm natural yogurt but it didn`t make it thick enough for me.
My fave is the Morrisons thick greek yogurt (full fat) and i use 2 tablespoons to 1 litre of value UHT milk which is skimmed i think. This makes a lovely yogurt but as i have a sub zero kitchen i find that 9 or 10 hours in the machine makes the right consistency yogurt for us.
