  • Thanks for this information. I managed to get the last one in the Bristol area. It is brilliant. And I had £5 on my nectar card so it only cost me £24. Also used my free bus pass to collect it - cheaper still.
It is a brill little machine, does everything even scanning documents into editible form.

There are still some left, some in Bishops Stortford, Stevenage and a few other areas. I recommend it.

if your looking for decent compatibles for the epson sx100 and sx200 printers, ink-power < search ebay shop, do 12cartridges = 3 complete sets for £14.99 which includes delivery, and they are good quality inks aswell. small note: epson originals usually have about 8ml in them, compatibles usually if you look have 18.3ml, so if you think about it your really getting 6 complete sets, 3 complete sets with twice as much ink as the orginials.
If you would prefer to use epson cartridges you can save around 25%-75% by using a program called INKSAVER, google it as i am unable to post links currently. I had it set to save 30% as default, using both sets of ink epson and the compatibles couldnt tell the difference between 0 and 30%, 0=inksaver off

NOTE 2: all printers with color ink when printing only in black will still use the color ink to make the black look sharper, so putting it in the settings to BLACK ONLY will still use the colour ink, and it doesnt turn off using the colour at all.

spikey currently the sx200 is cheaper than the sx100, you can pick up the sx200 for currently £48.93 direct from epson, £49.99 direct from tesco's direct.
whereas the sx100 is £29.30 from john lewis, i was thinking about argos where the sx100 is £58.69,

the sx200 has a better scanning resolution, pict-bridge, memory card reader, slight quieter than the sx100, and comes with better software, as in the ocr software comes with the sx200 but none with the sx100.

ok spikey so you save an extra erm £5 on the cost of the printer bringing it down to £44.99 i did a check on their website. Thanks, but due to a puncture in a car tyre i have to replace the tyre first, thats what you get for going to a car boot sale in a field, thats setting me back £35 ahwell, maybe later.

With Epsons, do a test at least once a week, otherwise the heads clog up.........you must also expect "Banding" after a while.
