Absolutley, but they are within their rights to make reasonable steps to recover the items. The unsolicited goods act may seem black and white but things such as the retailers intention are taken into consideration.0 -

But they haven't - the OP has stated that they are trying to recover the goods, NOT invoice.
Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 s. 24 Inertia Selling.
The criteria are not met, so the 'advice' of the previous poster to keep the goods is WRONG in these circumstances.0 -
Isnt that theft taking something that isnt yours?
That would be the case if that was what had actually happened. Merely saying to them that the goods are at your house awaiting them to make arrangements to collect it at their expense is not theft.I'm sure the person who paid for it would be more than happy if the OP decided to keep the item :money:
Actually the person that paid for it should be able to keep this safely on the list of things they don't care about. If the parcel was delivered to the wrong place then this is a mistake by the supplier and/or the supplier's agents and its the suppliers problem to put this right. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0
