Is this a good ORANGE deal?

I'm currently paying BT for phone rental (£10.37 pm), plus override providers such as Primus and 18185, with my broadband with Orange (£9.99 pm).
In total, I'm paying around £30, as the day time calls stack up a £0.05p a call....
I've had numerous problems with BT, and now Orange is offering me broadband, free eve and w/e phone calls, unlimited daytime phone calls to 01 and 02 numbers, and line rental for £17.61 pm.
Is this a good deal? Orange also says that even though it will use the BT line, it won't take it over (like TalkTalk), and so I would not need to pay BT for a new line if ever I wished to return to them (I would not, but it's nice to know this, just in case).
I just wanted to gather opinion, before making my final decision, in case I've missed something important out.
Thanks!

Orange took over another company and renamed it as there own broadband.
I can say from experience it is a shambles from the off.....
It took 7 weeks for my broadband to get workin and they still wanna charge you for it....
The speed is very slow.....am trying to get out of the contract now and go with a laptop dongle..
Orange as a mobile phone provider are quite good...Broadband..DONT DO IT0 -
I would have to agree with dazza. I have Orange mobile, but would not touch their broadband with a bargepole. Bear in mind that if you have problems and need support, their helpline is 50p a minute. There was a recent post on here from an Orange customer who spent a total of 6 hours over a few weeks and ran up a bill of £180-and they still hasn't sorted the problem, which should have been resolved in 10 minutes (lack of filters on extension phones).
Are you sure that price is not just a promotional rate for the first 3 months and then goes up?
Have you also considered the contract-are they locking you in for 18 months? No free lunch, and no free laptop

I,ve been with Orange broadband which is free with my mobile contract for over two years with very little problems.
Some people do have problems ( i must be a lucky one by the sounds of it) but does,nt every isp have problems at sometime or other.
Their customer support is not at 50p per minute.
I have taken this from their website.call Technical Support for all your technical queries
Broadband Starter and Home Starter (including new wireless router)
0844 873 8586
24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Calls to this 0844 number are charged at 5p a minute from a BT landline, Orange Home Phone or your second phone line (if you have one). Calls from mobiles and some other networks may cost more. Calls may be recorded for quality assurance purposes.0 -

Well Orange must look at MSE then, because they have only reduced the 50p rate as of today! There's a press release saying that as of 2/4/09 a premium rate will no longer be charged. I still wouldn't recommend them as an ISP though. No free lunch, and no free laptop
