We're in exactly the same position hostiegirl. Exchange supposed to be on Friday though there is still a little uncertainty. It's taken two months from offers accepted to get to this point with just two properties involved.0

We've been lucky in that we've only had buyer/seller,buyer, however, while everything was ready to exchange over 2 weeks ago, lack of communication caused this delay, which is now thankfully resolved. So while this is a first time for me, I would suggest reasonably frequent calls to track each stage of communication, and ensure your EA is doing the same.0

Good advise but dont you agree it's laughable the amount they charge and we have to chase them up about everything!. And you'd think the EA would be chasing as they dont get paid until completion!.0 -
I agree, but it is worth it to save stress. You've only got to have one solicitor or EA in the chain being laxadaisical to seriously hold things up, and if the 'chasing' keeps being filtered through the chain, it may help. When we first really chased ours, the initial response was ' well this is a normal length of time for sales to take', which was an excuse, not a reason for the delay.0
