What happens to my contract if I lose my job?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew, or had any experience, with if I lose my job over the next year but I've just signed into a new broadband contract what will happen?

Are there any broadband providers who are more or less harsh if this happens?

Thanks,

Nothing will happen, they will expect you to complete the contract term. However they might let you downgrade to a cheaper tarrif, but this is not guaranteed. It would probably help if you are a long term customer but it's really just a matter of ringing them up and pleading your case. Hoping it doesn't happen though.
