I'm a total novice when it comes to computers and recently I didn't have my computer protected against viruses. I bought BitDefender last week and installed it on my computer as I'd noticed my computer wasn't working properly, it was playing random audio clips without me doing anything and when I search on Google if I click on a link it redirects me to a totaly different page. Whenever I do a deep scan using BitDefender it tells me I have 3 infections, two of which are trojans, I click on 'move to quarentine' but none of these issues with my computer are being resolved!! Please, please can someone advise me on how to fix my computer...it's driving me crazy!!!

    O smeg!
Looks like you need Alienerik expertise here.

    Whilst you are waiting
    Try MALWAREBYTES
    http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes...-10804572.html
(make sure you click 'download now')
    UPDATE and FULL scan.

Then post the log file if it finds anything.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • OR, boot into safe mode (press F8 i think, when booting) and run the scan again and try to remove them again.

    Run Malwarebytes as penrhyn said.
    Then REBOOT and ~

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

  • A good antivirus program to protect you in the future would be AVG by Grisoft. It is free and has protected my system for years.

    http://www.vnunet.com/articles/download/2129071

I have never had to buy any other application.

Also it could be that the infection has lodged itself in your system restore and that could be why it is not being deleted by your application.

    AVG is awful

If you HAVNT caught anything, then you must be a pretty safe 'surfer' (And if I were you, id give a scan with MALWAREBYTES as a precaution)
