But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking
- update spreadsheets
- send some money to savings
- storecupboard lunch and tea
- check and water all my plants and seedlings
- lttle bit of hokey cokey
- little bit of ironing
- clean one room so no housework at weekend
- aim for no spend day
- swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
- make a batch of yoghurt
- add some more things to my 101 in 1001 challenge list
- sparkle a lot

Hi to all the regulars and welcome to any new posters:D Up at the crack of dawn today for some reasonNot much planned workwise except a visit by a technical surveyor later so should be a quiet -paperwork based day.
Sending hugs to any pooply peeps
Hope you are feeling better soon.Have a good day everyone xxx

Sophiesmum - how early???!!!
Morning all!!
Well, I had an eventful day yesterday....doctor sent me to the hospital, I was there from 12 til 7:eek:
Spent most of that time stiiting in a room waiting...I was sooooo bored. In the end they decided I needed a CT scan, but it was too late to have one the same day. I said Ok I'll come back tomorrow - oh no, can't do that, you won't have a bed! So I now have to wait to get an appointment as an outpatient, could be 2 weeks:mad:
They think it's the Crohn's causing the pain - a narrowing in the intestine, may be inflamed too. Hopefully won't need surgery on it. So I was up there, worrying about my kids, luckily my friend had them for me, but I didn't want the girls to worry - as it was they were quite happy!;)
Anyway, the pain not too bad, was fine yesterday. I'm wondering if it got worse over the weekend as I walked about a bit - went to shops on Sat and Morrison's on Sun:o I plan to spend the rest of the week doing nothing!!
Anyway, thank you all for the good wishes:p

Hi everyone,
SM - hope getting up so early is a one off for you.
Milly - hope you dont wait long for scan.
OK, I am today
- sorting photos out from previous holidays, reminding me of better and healthier times
- sorting out the pile of laundry
- paid couple of things and got partner to post cheques
- have something from fridge for food all day
- get plenty of rest to aid recovery and thats also free
- begin sorting my rubbish out for charity shop/ebay
- look for new 0% deal
I realised my 0% card ends in a month, going to challenge myself to pay £500 off it between now and then. here is how I am planning to do it
- £100 regular monthly payment
- due £120 from hospital fund, which will go towards it
- £200 in ebay/amazon hopefully
- not sure on the other £80 yet but challenge myself to get it somehow, I have the odd bits of money in accounts I might tidy up, like £15 here and there in accounts I dont use, if I close them they will send me a cheque, I might be due some money on quidco if I get CC deal through them etc.0 -
Hi Painted lady
How are you?
Just checked bank and have interest on my hairy loan of 76 quid - so had to pay that off to keep myself down at the level it was as it was horrid seeing it go up. Its alot but I guess its less than it would have been with the extra payments (last 3 month interest charge was about £120)
Joined the grocery challenge thanks for the reminder Angel flower - ahve set myself a budget of £50:eek: for April groceries. Store cupboard challenge here I come.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
