Maybe if the goverment spent more money on things for them to do then there woudnt be an issue. Thats my point.
The Government. That is my money that they spend and I give enough of my money to other people's little brats thank you.
Here's a novelty: let their parents pay for stuff for their little darlings to do, they choose to breed in the first place.0 -
Well said Mozette,
We didnt have pc's, playstations, nintendo's, youth clubs etc when I was growing up - so we could have easily been 'bored' but we still wouldnt have thought of annoying someone by making too much noise right next to their house, coz we would have got earache from the householders and from our parents.
Even my siblings are afraid to 'parent' their own kids and I dont understand why - coz that's not the way we were brought up.0 -

I totally agree. But their parents probably much prefer to spend their money down at the pub - on themselves.hotpot1000 wrote: »We didnt have pc's, playstations, nintendo's, youth clubs etc when I was growing up - so we could have easily been 'bored' but we still wouldnt have thought of annoying someone by making too much noise right next to their house, coz we would have got earache from the householders and from our parents.
And a good hiding too.
Does it not occur to the idotic 'do gooders', who say children shouldn't be smacked, that that is the very reason some children have no respect for anything, nor anyone, not even their own parents.
Bring back the days that the following (from another site)forum posts are talking about.
The referred to Walt Disney (his real name) was our local 'bobby' back in the late 50's/60's.Originally Posted by Lostrider[e too. He gives me a clout round the ear, not for riding my bike on the pavement but for being cheeky. Those were the days.
I once found 2/6 at a bus stop on Birley Spa Lane on my way home from school. I told my mum that 'Walt' had given it to me for fixing his cycle lamp. A few days earlier my dad had explained to me that torch batteries needed to be connected up + to - or they wouldn't work, so I remembered this and told him that this was the reason why I got 'Walt's' light working.
He said that he'd keep an eye open and thank 'Walt' for his generosity the next time he rode past. I was pooing myself for weeks, hoping that my dad didn't see him. Nothing came of it, thank God.0 -
We work hard to have the things we have one of them being a nice house with a front garden that we want to look good for us. So do you think it is ok then for them to ride bikes across the grass, to knock over plant pots, to hit our car with a football etc etc0

There was a guy who lived in our street years ago who was always complaining to the lads playing football. In fact he came running out of the house one night shouting his head off saying My wife is 6 weeks pregnant and needs her rest. The kids thought he was a total fruit cake. Anyway he moved not long after the birth of baby and the new guy talked to the kids kicked the ball around a bit and just asked them not to hit his car. Know what? they never once kicked the ball onto his car, all he did was ask...........:)Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

I have a world of sympathy for the original poster. We had some stupid little fcuks kept knocking on our door. I went out and shouted at the little *****s and the dirty mum had the cheek to come round and moan at me.
Stab the ball and get it over with. If they do it again threaten them with the knife instead. That'll teach em!0 -
Haha stab the ball, yeah right.0

some delightful kids where i used to live took to playing football on the street at 11ish at night during the summer holidays (i assume kids don't have bedtimes anymore). it seems under streetlights was easier than going to a pitch black park.... i have to say i never went out on my own to ask them to be quiet and after a few weeks it stopped, but i know just how annoying it can be just with the noise, let alone with balls hitting property and cars.....wish i knew a way to stop it!:happyhear0

The great phrase I hear uttered so often sums up just why British kids have some of the worst reputations worldwide - "They're only kids init...." Used far too often to cover up the parenting inadequacies of the people who spawn these horrible little oiks.0
