Telediscount question

Hello,
I've been using telediscount for a while and generally am happy with it. However, it's never clear to me how their calls are charged since on my BT bill I just get a giant charge for the number 0845 2445 445.
Does it mean I get charged 4p during weekday (daytime) and 1p otherwise?
I have put this number as my "best friend" to get maximum discount out of BT.
Am thinking about this since providers like 1899 is now ver y competitive (Canada 0.5p/min!)

Not sure about the BT questions but you can get the full picture of dial through providers at http://niftylist.co.uk and compare them to about 10 others0

Why not get itemised billing of all calls?
They don't charge extra for it.0 -

bt only itemise 0845 calls , as it is access no.so we can't tell, what no was dialed. can telestunt give us itemised bill? like 1886 or 1899.Regard

BT charge 3p peak and 1p evening and weekends for calls made to numbers starting with the 0845 prefix.
If they are lumping all your charges together, phone them up and tell them you want a fully itemised bill. Otherwise they will only separate calls out that cost more than about 40p each.
Better to use 18866.com for UK landline calls as they charge 1p for an untimed call.0 -

If you have full itemisation from BT they will list every single call to every number dialled including 0845 numbers.
You would see the telediscount 0845 calls itemised, but not of course the actual phone number you used the telediscount access number to connect to.
Neither telestunt nor telediscount provide any records of the calls you've made - but BT definitely list the 0845 numbers called as long as you have elected to get full itemisation of every call dialled.0 -

Short answer is no - all that you could do if you want to see full details of each telediscount call is combine a manual log with the BT itemised bill.
Keep a log with the date, time + destination of your telediscount calls, then when the BT bill comes in you will be able to see the cost of each call (the BT bill will show you the date and time that each call to the telediscount access number was started).0 -
BT cannot physically itemise the 'second leg' og the call ie the Int bit... which is routing via Tele... SIMPLY-FONE, 18666 etc...
if they could you'd be in trouble cos it'd mean you're being charged by BT !!something missing0 -
smartasss & soicher, thanks for the information.Regard
