    Hiya

yes they write every year and ask for 3 payslips or a letter from your employer stating your current salary, they are always very helpful when I speak to them 0870 606 0704 would be worth giving them a call, even if you are above the earning bracket I notice that your payment seems quite high, if I had to pay them back they would take £82 off me a month and I owe them £3577.

    Hope this helps

This may also help if you are spending lots on prescriptions each month

If you have to pay for more than 3 prescription items in 3 months, or 14 items in 12 months, you could save money with a Prescription Prepayment certificate (PPC).
The charge for a single prescription item is £7.10 (£7.20 from 1 April 2009), whereas a 3-month PPC will cost you £27.85 (£28.25 from 1 April 2009) and a 12-month PPC £102.50 (£104.00 from 1 April 2009). The most convenient way to pay for your 12 month PPC is by Direct Debit meaning you can spread the yearly cost evenly over 10 monthly instalments.

www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk have all the details about pre-payment certificates

OK I better reply in order:

Ras - his credit is OK, I'm gonna write to both Cap 1 and Vodafone to ask what they have on me though and ask them to remove them as linked addresses.

Urg - I am starting to sell some CD's, DVD's and games and gonna use any cash to pay off a debt, I'm trying the payment a day thing, paid £1.90 I saved today. I'm sure HSBC wont like it but it will give them plenty of work to do! What are the free scratchcards? I cant find anything on here about them.

Yes my rent is high but sadly still cheaper than most round here (Surrey suburbs) and we havent had an increase since we moved in 3 years ago.

As for the CTax, again, it's expensive round here so yes unfortunately it is correct.

Cardiff - I have never received anything from them, I am post 98, does this make a difference? Also my med expenses arent prescriptions, its something I have to do/pay, but hopefuly for not too much longer.

    Thanks all!!

Looks like your student loan is different to mine as yours was after 1998 didn't realise the rules had changed, it does explain it although not very clearly (well not to me anyway!) on http://www.direct.gov.uk
