My Student Loan comes out of my wages, thats £82 pm. My NI is 178.74 and my tax is 321.40.
Gary
Go back to your SOA on post 10. You have quoted your salary after the Student loan is taken out
And then included your student loan in your debts AS WELL and deducted that from your income a second time.
You are solvent.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Thats a relief! Although I still dont have any money! lol.
Cheers!0 -
Hmmm..
paper and fact are not always the same!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Do re-do the SAO though.
Any chance you can dfer the student payment?
And have you though about seeing if you vcan get a cheaper credit card and transfer some of the money over?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Still worth considering a second job. Your hours are regular so it is possible. You could work over the weekend or as some do the twilight shift. I work nights at Tesco and there are some who work fulltime and then 3 nights of twilight (10pm-2am) each week. You are young and single and so would be fine when you got used to it. It wouldn't take you into the 40% tax bracket so would be worth doing. Good luck hope you can get that nasty loan cleared or reduced.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

Ras yeah there seems to be something a miss!
I have looked into the student loan, but can't find anything about deferring or reducing payments, I haven't been able to get through to them today but will keep trying tomorrow.
I would gladly get cheaper credit, i'd the Virgin card with the super balance transfer but i just cant see them giving me the card. Is there anything you can do to support a credit application? Provide budgets etc to show that I can pay it easily as it would be cheaper than my current repayments?
I have been rejected by Aqua, halifax (who I bank with) and vanquish in the last 12 months or so. Are there any others who I might have a better chance with?0 -
hi
Do you have a copy of your credit reference? Is ther anything really odd on there? Any association for example? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I haven't at the moment, going to get it again Friday when i get paid. The last time i looked a couple of months ago i only odd things I had were the 2 connected addresses which are actually for my brother but Experian said both Vodafone and Cap One wouldn't remove them. Think I mentioned this yesterday.0

Any idea what your brother's credit record is like?
Could it be that you are affected by this or by the confusion this causes? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi Gary
Lots of very good advice here.
Two things:
1) look at ways to make money. Some people on this site do daily scratch cards etc. Over time this can add up. Also look at selling stuff on ebay or amazon. I've made over £200 from selling books. It all helps!
2) you are paying 455 per month rent - is this your half. If so, £960 is quite a lot. Not sure where you are living. Can you re-negotiate your rent? This is something quite a lot of people are doing given the Credit Crunch. If you have been a regular payer your LL may be willing to drop the rent (even by £50 each per month) which would be great for you and your flat mate. Apparently it is a renters market.
Good luck

EDIT - Gary, forgive me if I have got this completely wrong but, are you sure that the sums in your SOA on P1 are your half or the full amount. £176 (88x2) for council tax seems high; as does £21 for the phone - my landland for me is £10.50. It might be worth checking all the amounts. Agains - sorry if I have completely mis-read the situation.0
