I guess this site only works in some areas of the country. Its average valuation of my house was about 180 thousand over what similar houses round here are going for, if only....0 -
It valued mine at about £150k over the local housing mark so no good for me.The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

I tend to use Nethouseprices for historical information. All these sites are subject to unusual data affecting predictions etc. for instance in my road where house prices are around the £250,000 stamp duty point the average recent house price is shown much lower due to one of my neighbours selling their house to their daughter for £20,000. Any site that lets you drill down to the actual prices houses sell for are most useful.
For map information I tend to have a copy of Autoroute open to jump to, along with Google maps. Google maps is not completely up to date but it can often give a good idea of the house and the surrounding area particularly in built up areas where the resolution is often higher. Being able to see actual photographic images of the area is really useful. Microsoft have a similar satellite maping solution."I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." — Confucius0 -
