    Oh PS.

In my previous place before I had cats I had a fast and hard to get one.

A traditional trap (there are enough mice out there) worked and yes cheese was the bait that worked regardless of what people say about that! (I tried multiple options).

The cat will usually stake a mouse out if it's still alive, enabling you to know where it is. Then it's a matter of patience, moving furniture, and eventually trapping it in a corner under an upturned cup or similar.

If the cat's totally lost interest I'm afraid a trap or two baited with peanut butter is the answer.

Bit late now but for future reference the trick is to pick up the mouse as soon as the cat drops it. Usually they're in shock and don't move for a few seconds. Pick up and put outside. Job done.

(Mind your fingers though as they have sharp little teeth!)

You need to keep the cat in to finish what he/she started, leave the cat to roam around at night when the mouse tries to make a move.my neighbour has a giant centipede and a python which he allows to roam the house, i can him to lend them to you if you like.
Enjoy everyday like it's your last!

Mouse traps with peanut butter every time for me I'm afraid - our cat does get chucked out the door regularly with a mouse still in her mouth....

My cat thinks mice are just toys, and she brings them in to 'play with later'. Luckily, next door's moggie is a hunter so we tempt her in with dreamies - and she grabs the mouse as payment!

I bought this model, but paid a bit more, but they work. Comes with a transformer but also works with batteries https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REUSABLE-ELECTRONIC-MOUSE-RAT-RODENT-KILLER-ELECTRIC-ZAPPER-TRAP-PEST-MICE/292596428437?hash=item44201b2e95:g:7moAAOSwi0RbGoDU

If you go to youtube search for the user Shawn Woods. A farmer and mouse trap addict, and also has pet mice too. Also he says this is the best trap ever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsoVcrFyrF8

A couple traps with peanut butter on them work effectively. the poison can damage animals higher up the food chain if they are exposed =/
