Over the winter i've had one mouse, i think it was only one. I put traps down but not caught it. I'm hoping now Spring is here it will move back out into the garden.

one mouse is all you saw,

he/she will have all his brothers and sisters, auntys and uncles cousins and there extended families somewhere.

    just saying.

speak to LL, she may be unaware.

may just be a 1 off but keep its preferred food out of reach.
  • You've got mice they dont tend to come in 1s. Get the landlady to sort it out as its her property, I wouldnt be messing about with traps and poisons etc myself.
make sure all loose food stuff is in containers that cant be nibbled through.

Poor little mouse. He will have his/her extended family living there. Live and let live.

Absolutely! I do find the tang of mouse pee in my breakfast cereal gives it a certain je ne sais quoi.

Some councils offer free services to remove pests, my Bedfordshire council offer 3 free treatments in a 24 month time frame. Maybe give your council a call and enquirer?

I live in a small stone terrace in a rural area and even the cleanest of neighbours have had mice from time to time. The thick stone walls are filled with rubble leaving enough room for a little critter to move from house to house.
The main thing I've found is to fill any teeny holes both in the internal walls but also any access from the outside. Plus the ultrasonic thingies really do work for me. Maybe some brands are more effective than others.
I've even heard of people having a socket installed in the attic so they can plug one in there.

Our home suffers with mice, my neighbour says that the council came around to hers and filled in gap/holes with a glue and since then her problem has gone. Does anybody know which kind of glue they use?

The glue was used to fill in the holes between the floorboards, and between floorboard and wall.

Through winter we have been tortured by mice.

    Our home is clean
I have had a lot of previous experience with the mice pest problem, and attempted to tackle the problem head-on, by filling their access points. Combined with using traps. Conventional, sticky, poison, you name it. I have caught and killed about 10 mice and one disgusting rat, but still they come.
