got a refund from the seller forthe bed but she said I had messed her about for 2wks the cheeky so and so. I asked her for a telephone number to confirm the collection which she gave me but I never got an answer from it.

When I got the email frm her this morning I called the carrier straight away and off he went.

All you can do is report her as a non performing seller.

You've obviously annoyed her somehow, do you have any idea what she thinks you have done? She is now paying FVFs on your non sale plus she risks a negative feedback from you. It is very weird.

Is this how long it took to arrange the collection? It is rather a while but it also sounds like she's messing you around on purpose.

There is going to be very little you can do here, does it all check out legit, this isn't a hit and run scam is it? I'm just concerned as it is a rare seller that allows collection on a paypal item.

Personally I would be looking to get my money back now ASAP.

Can I just ask why it's rare to collect when you have paid by paypal. I would rather people do that in case they change their minds when they get there and you have to go through all of the rigmarole again:confused: Also, they might try bargaining down.

To the OP, I would be hopping mad too:cool:

Why don't you just open an "Item not received" dispute, given you paid by paypal. She'll then be asked for proof of postage, which she won't be able to give you... mean? yup! But so was being "out" knowing someone had paid good money for a man with a van!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

It's rare because it is the easiest scam going.

Seller sells say a framed picture for £200, buyer pays paypal and collects and then a day or two later buyer (scammer) puts in a claim to paypal for item not received.

The only way seller can stop that claim is to provide online tracking using an approved paypal courier (including Royal mail) that shows delivery. For items over £150 the tracking must also have a signature available to paypal online using the tracking number. If seller can't do that then buyer gets their money back..simple!

Before any newbies try and find a way round this, there isn't one. it doesn't matter if buyer is on CCTV, signs a legally sworn document or gets the Queen herself to sign a receipt, seller WILL lose their money.

When ebay forced all sellers to take paypal even on collected items many of us gave up offering items for sale that could not be posted.
