Most people who fail with MLM are those who pick a bad scheme, or give up early when they don't make an instant fortune. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

It’s a wonderful post to know many details about MLM. There are lots of websites to provide more details. Using an MLM marketing system will permit people to create their business more successfully. An organized advance to marketing their business can have a big impact on their success. The MLM marketing system permits people to focus on more significant things such as calling warm market leads from the system, marketing the system, and many more.0

MLM is a mugs game. I think if you are there in the beginning of a new scheme you have half a chance to make some money, but the dregs near the bottom of the 'pyramid' work hard for little reward. I know some people who are in MLM's and they pester me non-stop, real power talk. Heard it all before. And the seminars WOW 'I made £5000 in 2 days'..'I made £30,000 in 1 week' applause..cheering..etc..Not for me.0

I was invited to a seminar held by one of the MLMs that specialised in the nutrition and weight management sector, and to bring a friend.
Some of their client testimonials were truly amazing, even to the point that they claimed the products helped cure cancer  it was most amusing as the friend I invited was an oncologist who tore the reps apart.0 -
MLM is the best method to earn for the people who are interested in working from home. Here the success depends on how well you connect with people and build the network.0

MLM is a very under-rated and badly understood, but excellent way to make some extra money. Forget the hype from some people/companies about becoming overnight millionaires, it doesn't happen and won't happen; but as a way to earn an extra income, along with great tax breaks if you are employed as well, it can't be beaten in my opinion.
Just remember, find products that you can really like/enjoy; if you're only doing it for the money and don't really care about the products, you probably won't be successful.
Best of luck

I think alot of people just don't understand the concept properly, the fact is we all participate in network marketing every time we share information with someone else, whether its a film you liked or a product you would or wouldn't recommend.
It is a way that anyone regardless of education, experience or financial status can build a satisfying and potentially lucrative Business, it is NOT a get rich quick scheme as some Distributors portray it. It does time time, effort, commitment and it does mean scarifices have to be made short term (around 5 years or so) for long term gain (eg spending your spare time working and building the Business rather than watching TV or doing some other leisure activity).
The Company you choose supply the products and the tools to help you succeed, what people do with those tools is their choice. Its like buying some woodwork tools you may need to learn some skills to be able to use those tools effectively. Its a great way to be your own boss with little set up cost but you still need to work the Business and put in the time and effort as if you had paid thousands. I think this is where people fail because they don't see it as a "business" and view it from an employee mentality or perhaps they were sold the concept wrongly and expect too much too soon.

The concept is very clear - you join , you sign up others and their work is added to yours to pay bonuses. The bigger and bigger the team the more and more money you can earn, till eventually , supposedly , you can relax on the beach with all this lovely money rolling in.
In a nutshell , dead easy.
Except that it doesn't work like that in reality , just signing folk up doesn't pay anything, thats a pyramid and illegal. What needs to happen is those that are signed up need to go out and sell products to earn money for you, and that's the problem. If the market for the goods is small and diminishing , the goods poor and vastly over priced, if the method of marketing it to the consumer is weak and outdated then few can sell enough stuff, they drop out. You then need to go out and get more people.
The problem is in any given area, anyone who was or is going to do it has done it and either made it (unlikely) or dropped out ( highly likely) , everyone who would be receptive to the adverts have already seen them and looked into it and thought it's not for them .
Hence the endless ideas from HQ's about selling it this or that area of society - Young Mums , supposedly got plenty of time on their hands, OAP's the same, Students in debt. The problem however is that few people *actually* want to buy the stuff. If only a tiny fraction of the people who have signed up then left had made good money then the businesses would be Billion pound world beaters for sure!
The key to MLM is get in FIRST - once it's reached saturation , it;s over. I know of people who getting in first reached extraordinary heights in just a very short time - could they do that now? Not a chance, for the reasons above.0 -

And that, in a nutshell, is why people fail. Its not ''dead easy''; it takes years of consistent work to build a full time business. Its not difficult work, but it takes a lot of self motivation because you're doing it yourself with no boss pushing you. MLM is a bit like fishing in many ways. You get the type of fish that you put out the bait for. If you're telling people that its dead easy and you don't have to do much, guess what type of people you will attract?Except that it doesn't work like that in reality , just signing folk up doesn't pay anything, thats a pyramid and illegal. What needs to happen is those that are signed up need to go out and sell products to earn money for you, and that's the problem. Thats right, do your due diligence, find a company with products you would use at the right price and you will find a market for your products. The problem is in any given area, anyone who was or is going to do it has done it and either made it (unlikely) or dropped out ( highly likely) , everyone who would be receptive to the adverts have already seen them and looked into it and thought it's not for them .
There will always be a market for your products if they are good.Hence the endless ideas from HQ's about selling it this or that area of society - Young Mums , supposedly got plenty of time on their hands, OAP's the same, Students in debt. Depends on the company. Due diligence. Find a company with products you really like and promote them. Others will like them too.The key to MLM is get in FIRST - once it's reached saturation , it;s over. I know of people who getting in first reached extraordinary heights in just a very short time - could they do that now? Not a chance, for the reasons above.
Biggest fallacy in MLM and only shows up people who don't really understand the concept. There are still people breaking the top levels in all the old companies. When you join has nothing to do with it. Ask Gavin Scott over on the Kleeneze thread when he joined. I'll tell you, 1992. Kleeneze had been using MLM since the early 70's and been in business since the early 20s!!

Jeanette, have you ever been with any other NM company apart from Kleeneze?
The reason I ask is that I cut my teeth with NM as a Kleeneze distributor, packed it in after about 2 years as I wasn't making anything. But not all NM companies are the same and I'm with one now that actually does what it says on the tin.
I can totally understand your annoyance though about the way it's presented to prospects!'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'
