Its not that its bad for your hair per say but its a cancergen, i cant believe its in everything even baby shampoos.
The best place is a health store, ones that dont contain it (or have one made from coconut that is ok) include
Urtekram (also made with with wind power and hay power)
green people
Tisserland

on that note its best to use natural deodorants too like toms of maine, and SLS is in most toothpaste too.

They can seem expensive, but you really only need a 5ps worth, so its quality vs quantity. Just get used to using a little, and get used to the fact they wont foam as much, something we have all got used to in this modern age!Pawpurrs x0

Oilatum does a shampoo called Oilatum Scalp but this is supposed to be used no more than twice a week, and it is for itchiness/dandruff but it's totally natural, no harmful things. Have a looksie in Tesco medicines section. Little bottle 100ml.spacey0

I got this shampoo for my kids as they used to have bad eczema on their scalps but through diet and using this shampoo, it's been eliminated. It doesn't have sodium lauryl sulphate in it either. Quite expensive though, worked out at about £9 a bottle including P&P. I used to buy it as a member of Neways etc but let the membership lapse. I only became a member to buy this shampoo cheaper as the other price was a lot dearer. Still got some left so haven't needed to get any of the internet yet. Just googled this to get a link for the shampoo, not sure where the cheapest place would be to buy it if you are interested in getting some.

Dessert Essence do shampoos with SLS from Coconut Oil. Used it once but put it in the back of the cupboard as the lather was pretty pathetic.0

Sorry that should be Desert Essence0

AFAIK this stuff is SLS free, and you can get it in Tescos. Here is a review of one of the shampoos available.

I get my shampoo from a website called Faith in Nature, it's really good and you don't need to use alot. It's around £4.00 for a 400ml bottle and lasts a long time. If you have an Aveda salon near you their shampoo is also very good, I used to buy their ltr bottles of shampure at around £21. Sounds expensive but it would last around 8 months and I wash my hair every day.0
