can you use a cosytoes that you already have? maclaren ones are expensive but you could use any kind of cosytoes i suppose.

i just bought a techno XT and i love it. it's more expensive than the triumph but my tall husband needed the high handles. i tried the triumph and quest in mothercare, seemed good, easy to push etc. they change the colour scheme every year i think, new 2006 colours just out so i got a good discount on the 2004 colour. it's new, just not the 'current' colour. it was 120 instead of 170, i know that's out of your budget, but there are probably similar deals online for the buggy you're after if you're happy to have it in the 'old' colour.

the shopping basket is tiny and difficult to get to i suppose - i put the changing bag on the handles instead. it's easy to fold with a baby under one arm. most buses here have a pram bit where you can leave the pram up but if someone's already sitting there the maclaren is really easy to fold etc.

    pramaholic here lol

weve tried loads and my fave lightweight buggy is the maclaren quest , http://www.kiddicare.com/invt/bugmacqstpewterd - they have other colourways too

its fab for all ages (from my nephew when he was a baby to my now almost 4 yr old!)and very light to push (even with a lazy 3yr old going up a hill !! lol)

2nd choice would be a M&P pliko but its more of a substantial pushchair than " lightweight buggy"

couldnt get on with the M&P aria at all ! hate the way theres no footrest and only a few positions on the backrest, also felt awkward to push and quite low

was fab for taking on holiday though as it fits in the overhead lockers of planes : )
