  • Hi Everyone!!
Been very busy with a school meeting and assessments this morning but we are now going out for a walk. Actually prefer to get some work done first, then a walk clears my head before I do the next assessment section.
Walking for just 3 miles today then quick visit to Mum and Dads.
Nyk Fantastic idea about photos for calendars. Will take it with us today.
Mr SFT posted the Wedding Dress off today. Hope it makes the next person just as happy. Library books back too before I get a fine.
Got a lovely wedding present today..$100 from Mr SFT's aunt (who lives in Philidephia). So we will put that towards Central America.

Hope you are all having a great day.
    Catch you later.

(((Janey))), it's great to have you back and I'm amazed at the way you've hung onto your courage and sense of humour because all that really does sound like Too Much At Once. I hope you have someone you can turn to, some good friend who can come round or invite you round, take a bit of the pressure off. I hesitate to say this because people don't always like it, but I don't mean to give offence: shouldn't someone battling with all these problems have some sort of professional support? I have known people get the social services behind them, fighting their battles, on the strength of one single physical problem! Anyway, please take care of yourself. You know we are here for you. :grouphug:

EFC, Nyk, thanks for your advice and especially about the nettles. Hadn't realised they could do that! They are going to be soup now instead of mulch - very frugal.

Chika, I'm assuming you've tried abebooks for your teaching book but don't forget to claim all work-related books against tax too. I didn't do this for years :doh:but I always do it now.

Easypeasy - Wow! Virtue rewarded! :j:j:j Life should always be like this. Enjoy every penny.

:hello: Hi Janey :hello: ((((((((((((big hugs from me too))))))))))))

Have really missed your funny posts, but reading that just made me realise what a tough time you've had. I echo the suggestion that you maybe think about getting some proper help, it does seem an awful lot to be coping with on your own.

Now, has anyone heard fron Marru lately, I think it's nearly a month since she posted anywhgere.

    Hi everyone..

I'm having a nightmare of a time trying to sort out my budgeting!
I've been spending money all over the place, takeaways and groceries that I end up throwing away....
    We've had to replace my car, I'm buying a campervan..so £7500 later...!
Then DH bought a new to him car too....I find if I spend in one area I just lose the whole plot and can't stick to any budget. I then redid my budget so I wouldn't have to stick to £4k and CB...and then started looking at small holdings...I really want one, but I can't get one unless I get my mortgage down, finish the DIY in my house so it can be sold and generally saving money, so I've put my budget back to £591 a month....I'm just going to have to plan more and stick to it.
I've also managed to get Slimming World on 'prescription' from the doctors. I'm just hoping that it won't mean I overspend on the grocery budget. I've seen a new part of their plan called 'Extra Easy' which might be the way to go...

So, after all that...I'm back...I have to be if I want to see my dreams become a reality, but I'm really struggling, so I'm going to have to just try really hard....

I hope you all doing well, frugally speaking and generally too. I've got the thread to notify me when someone posts so hopefully that will keep me on the straight and narrow and encourage me...

    Evening everyone.

This will be brief as I'm not very well :( I got sent home from work at 1:30pm today, as I went deaf in my right ear, and was really unbalanced and felt really dizzy. :( I'm hoping to go to work tomorrow, as its only for 4 hours. I went to the docs and she said to steam one in the a morning and once a night with some olbus oil in the water. I just did that a while ago, and it made my eyes stream!

I've added a new bit to my sig - I'm going to aim to lose 30lbs, the sensible, hopefully healthy way. I've had problems with food before, so I'm going to be careful. I need to lose some weight, so here's to a new challenge.

I have read the thread, but i can't remember what I've read :o I'm sorry! I will be back tomorrow, hopefully bright eyed and bushy tailed :D

    sf xx
