BB, you're doing really well with everything that you've set out to do. I had a quick look at your blog, too
. Your 101 list includes, "5.Take My Lovely Chap to see a 4*Severn Bore" but I wasn't sure what that was - is it like a bore tide (we have one here) or is it a really dreary friend from that area? :rotfl:
:rotfl:For a 'going away anywhere' averse OH, promising the delights of an utter bore the other end would be a challenge too far for me:D. The river Severn has a fantastic tidal bore Nyk, but hasn't had a high grade one for a few years, but does have a high grade 4* a couple of times this year. I saw it 10 years ago and is spectacular higher up the river, particular at night when you hear it coming before you see it.
Thanks for your kind supportive words too.

SM - great to hear the remoska is enjoying its travels and paying it's way. I've missed your regular posting but its great to know you are getting oin wioth living your dream.
Good to hear from you again Skint chic: great result on the holiday costs.
SF - lots of hugs, you sound in a low place if life is feeling a bit pointless. I hope your change of life in september with your new course rejeuvintes & excites you: not long to go. I hope there is encouraging news soon with your friend: these things are so often very treatable now. My dad had bladder cancer 10 yrs ago , had great treatment and is still going well at 81.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Good evening everyone,
I am back from Oban and had a really nice day. It was a bit dodgy driving up, terrible rain, but was lovely on the way back. The sisters and mum all came with me and we had lunch in a fantastic hotel, and get this, it was really cheap, and one of the nicest meals I have ever had.
So a good day all round. Sometimes this job does not feel like work at all, I just wish that the pay was better.:o
I'm off for a bath as I've got another day of travelling tomorrow. xx0 -

Things are going okay here, I've been reading on here everyday and been updating my signiture. Haven't really felt like posting though, as I'm not doing anything exciting, and am just plodding on at the moment. Yesterday we found out that another close family friend who lives just up the road from us has a lump on his prostate and is having a biopsy today. This has all come about really suddenly, as he only went to the doctors last friday so it just seems like everything has come at once. He had some blood tests and it is cancerous, so today is to see just how bad the situation is. If it wasn't for the bf, I don't know how I'd be getting through this really, everything just seems a bit pointless.
I haven't been spending that much lately, but I still never seem to have any money - it just seems to disappear rapidly! I am going to try and not spend anything on friday, sat or sunday (i'm going shopping tomorrow) and see if i can go til next thursday without drawing any more money out of the bank - but we shall see!
I have been reading all your news, so congratulations, big smiles and (((HUGS))) to those who want them
Sorry this post isn't that positive, I'll be better soon
sf xxx
Hope you are feeling a bit better tonight sf. xx0 -

BB - I must get back to more regular posting, think I got into a bit of a rut a while back and I just felt my posts were getting a bit groundhog day style, same old same old every day. I've still been doing all my frugal stuff just not boring you all with the details:rotfl:
As for living the dreamit is progressing in stages;) OH still needs a bit of fine tuning in that department but I am working on him bit by bit. For instance he has succumbed to the freesat dish and box instead of all singing and dancing sky set up which is HUGE progress for someone who loves tv(especially sky sports:p) and I have got him logging electricity usage daily whereas he originally wasn't concerned about usage costs. I am gradually drumming into him that I actually WANT to live frugally and he WILL be coming along for the ride:rotfl::rotfl:(especially seeing as I will be doing the budgetting:D)

Morning all, just to let you know that I've reached £1000 in our Dream Pot :j:D:j I'm so excited to think I've been able to squirrel this away and still maintain a great standard of living, all things considered :T Those of you who know our situation well will know what an achievement this is and how much it means. So that's 5% of my total target. I wonder how much more I can find before we go? Of course while we're away we won't be saving anything (although my brain is already mulling over how we can :rotfl:) but I'm really hoping when we get back we can put chunks away each month from our salaries (ooh, I like that word
) WOO HOO!
Have a great day all xxThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
