    Evening all,
Just a quick message just now as I'm going for a bath. I have had an email from Qype, they are doing another review thing and you get £20 for 40 reviews this time. It's for an internet based gadget company so might be a bit more interesting this time.

I know that myself and whitewing usually do this challenge, so it might be an easy £20 for everyone. the website is www.qype.com

    Will check in later. xx

Why do I get the feeling that they sent the invite out to certain areas only.... hmmm, I did not get that email and I was on their site like a hound trying to find it...

I cooked the chicken after all, and it was yummy. I have loads left, so will create something with it tomorrow, which finishes up a whole week for me without takeaways, which is really fab, and I have really enjoyed getting back to cooking - it makes me feel that I may be starting to get back to some sort of normality. I go to the docs tomorrow so hopefully should sort out my bladder infection, if it is one, and then get my leg swelling back under control. I feel like a blimp.

Just got to start thinking about food for the bank holiday, otherwise all my good intentions will be straight out of the window. Hopefully will report in tomorrow with some ideas.

I see what you mean Buzzbox, I tried to get in from the website as well, nothing doing. Try getting in this way and let me know if it works.

WOW aeb, no wonder it was a shock for you! I love what someone said about 3 lots of love for you (sorry can't remember who) and appreciate it is also daunting. I really hope your pregnancy goes smoothly and am glad your mum is there to support you. If you've got rid of all your baby clothes, my mum is currently knitting a baby clothes mountain so I'll send you some over ;)
Welcome back HH62, hope you can get your spending under control, with the help of this lot you'll be fine.

Sorry, more to say but brain dead after busy week...OH yes, Michelle, please please take care of yourself and be kind to yourself - you're only just climbing back on the horse after a long time out and trying to juggle motherhood and teaching. Your idea to get an extra day at nursery sounds perfect to give you some breathing space to complete your paperwork and then truly enjoy time with your children guilt free. Forget about the lesson obs, it's so early days and I'm sure it will all come back to you. Take care hun (and feel free to spout my advice back at me when my time comes :D)

Hope to catch up tomorrow, will proabably be last time before hols x

On the duck, baby theme, meet the 6 chucklings. All this talk of babies is making me broody .

On a frugal theme today, I am going to attempt the famous Twinks hob nobs for the first time.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

aeb, I'm not surprised you feel tired. I even feel tired when I think about your triplets, lol.

I love Twink's hob nobs, yum, yum, yum.

Can't remember a single thing I was going to say.

Managed to make our first mortgage overpayment since June last year, so am very happy about that.

Hoping to have a couple of days out this weekend/half term, now it looks like DH's shifts finally coincide with the bad weather rather than the good.

We set up 'yellow folder' at the beginning of the year. (It is effectively a To Do list so massive and expensive that it needs to be split into separate sections so it doesn't frighten the life out of DH, (who sometimes takes exception to my planning skills). It's all in my head anyway so we do work continually through it, even if we don't physically look at it. But we are in the process of having a review, and it's amazing how much we have done and how much is still on track. (Well, we don't put dates as things change thro the year of what is necessary at any given moment). I'm happy.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

    Good morning, everyone.

Glad to see some positive posts.

Buzzbox, I got the Qype email, too but probably won't use it - it's a lot to write for a £20 IWOOT voucher when I've very little to review.

Aeb - may I be cheeky and ask if you were on any sort of fertility treatment when you fell pregnant? I just can't get my head around your situation and then add to that there will soon be 6 children under school age - I can't help thinking about it - you are a much, much braver woman than I. Have you been given an EDD for September yet, so you can get organised? Is there anything that anyone can do to help your current situation?

Edited in - Which area are you located? Perhaps you have a frugalite living right next door and just don't know it yet. :D If you're in my corner of the country, I know there are several people about here that would be more than willing to help about the garden & with repairs, plus our LETS group is improving by the week :)

Whitewing, glad you're feeling good at the moment :)

    Bails, have a great holiday

Re the duckling story in The sun, it's a bit far fetched saying the owner had no idea the eggs were duck eggs, don't you think? :rotfl:And did anyone read the first comment? That made me laugh even more. (Apologies if the writer is reading this, I have a very strange sense of humour that offends many :D) I didn't manage to see the ducklings video yesterday, all I got were snippets as my Internet connection can't cope with streaming video, but I got the gist of it. My ducklings are loonies! One has started trying to quack, so at least I know there is a girl among them and we should get eggs one day. :)

Only just managed to catch up....

aeb - Congratulations! My mum is a obsessive knitter so no doubt I'll be able to send a few cardies your way! ;):D Please could you say 'roughly' where you live, county or something? I'm in Dorset and I know (as Nyk said) there is lots of groups that help people here etc.

Michelle - Sorry to hear about your job. Hopefully things will get easier, you havent been back that long. Good luck with making decisions.

I've had a good week so far, DH is still sub-contracting for the big company and they've told him he's got 5 weeks left for definate. I've started going to church and have met some lovely people. A lady is dropping round some baby toys next week, someone else has got some clothes for Daisy that their daughter has grown out of. And I have been offered a job! That I could take Daisy with me, but wont post too much about it in case it doesnt happen. (trying not to get too excited).

    Take care everyone x

    Morning everyone

*creeps back in with my tail between my legs*

I haven't been around much because I've been too busy spending money I don't have - can someone slap my please???

I've just spent an hour reading through the posts and wow, what a week you've all had.

aeb - You sound like an incredibly strong brave woman. Do you know the type of people they make real life films about, that could be you. Congratulations on the triplets, it must be scary but fantastic at the same time. You're probably fed up of hearing it but you've coped so well so far, I just know that you will be a fantastic mum to the new babies and your older children and your house will be sorted in no time :) Good luck.

Michelle - are you ok? It sounds like a drag at your school at the moment. Don't let one bad observation get you down though. I'm sure every teacher in the world has had one and nine times out of ten its the observer having a bad day ;) Your head obviously wants you to stay so you can't be that bad!

I got the Qype email too - I did the first two where you got the amazon voucher and then the Virgin one, but I'm with Nyk. its just seems a lot to write for £20. And that site is like an internet poundshop. I'm not sure I really want anything from there. Its a good way to earn some extra money for nothing thoughn if you have time.

There hasn't really been that many frugal activities going on this week in chikaland. I went to London for a job interview on wednesday - fingers crossed - I like London in small doses and if I get the job it will only be for the summer and it would be great experience on my CV. Its also really well paid too... I managed to get first class tickets on the train which was fantastic. With a 16-25 railcard and buying two singles it was actually cheaper than a standard ticket. And you get free wifi, free food and drinks throughout the journey. For someone who normally travels on the megabus that was amazing!

Something I intend to remedy today. I'm the queen of procrastination and I need to do my bosses tax return which will earn me a coupld of hundred pounds each. And there are three :-) I've had the piles of receipts in my room for days but I can't bring myself to do anything with them. Thats going to be the first job of the day!
