Hi guys!Apologies for being away from here so much over the last week, but I had some Tiffing to do. Such is life.
How are we all doing, folks? There seems to be a lot of it going around according to today's posts.
I'm only up now because they haven't been able to catch me to dart me!
Well I mean, it's end of term holidays, isn't it? Little blighters everywhere - no wonder I need darting!
Two blinking weeks of it!
I'm glad I stuck with the prototype - yes folks, DS has returned from London for the hols. All is well with him and he is in danger of being happy - maybe I shouldn't speak too soon!Well, I guess I'd better start things off properly...
A very sincere Tiffyto our new clan members jess8905 (jess), minimoneyme (mmm), thriftyscotslass (thrifty), linzilou (linzi), zcc72 (zcc), xx-jo-xx (xxjo), triker, mrs tooti-frooti (frooti), loobyloose (looby), crockpot (cp), alison99 (alison), space donkey (space) and milliemonster (millie)!
There's a thread full of lovely people here, all of whom are here to support you and I'm sure the resident guardian angels have made you feel at home already.
Thanks for posting and please feel free to share as much, or as little, as you feel comfortable with, guys.
Yes peeps - here we are, now in Thread Home No.12!I don't know, turn my back for a minute and you'd all vanished. Personally, I blame katie-tulip for leaving the front door open again! There again, it's been sooooo long since I've blamed our sazzy for anything and why break the habit of a lifetime - so I'm quite happy that sazzy should share the blame too.*tumbleweed blows across the Tiffster's brain*

Haven't been on here much for the past week. Had something else go wrong in my life that I don't want to go into detail about and its just one thing after another just lately. 2009 is turning into a really bad year for me and its barely started. I keep telling myself that Im lucky because I have a loving family behind me and a nice home etc but it doesn't mean that you aren't going to get upset about things even so.
My Incapacity Benefit tribunal has now been set for the beginning of May and this is only because my husband got in touch and told them how much its all distressing me having to wait. They said they would move me further up the waiting list because of this. Ive done all sorts of preparation for it thanks to the advice of a few people on here and my MP is even sending a letter of support. However, the way this year has gone so far Im just petrified its all going to go wrong and they won't believe how bad I actually am at the tribunal.
We had someone crash into our car a year last December and they are completely ignoring everything our solicitor sends to them and aren't responding to anything. So now its got to go to court and this is really upsetting me because the accident just wasn't our fault and now Im going through the stress of dealing with it because they are ignoring everything and hoping we will just go away. It cost us £800 in excess to our insurance as well as paying higher insurance premiums afterwards and its horrible when we know we did nothing wrong. If we can just get it settled we can get our £800 back and a refund in the higher premiums too.
My moto at the moment is "Life is shi* and then you die" which seems to sum up everything - what is the point of it all?0 -
:hello: Everyone,
*hugs* Beth,I am sure it will go easier for you soon, hope so.I am ok,I watched Hot Fuzz a Simon Pegg film as he was in it and it was very good with a lot of action.Nice to see you post Tiff and I am sorry for leaving the front door open its just Sazzy was behind me and I thought she had closed it behind her,so sorry it wont happen again.I brought a new stash of Smarties, hands them round everyone.

Night! Night!

hi everyone
Thank you Tiff for your mention on the roll call, it was very sweet of you
And the cat pictures you put on always make me smile, they are fab!!
Things are still difficult here. My dad is now out of hospital, following a rather rushed discharge, which I was not happy with. And the supposed 'care package' isnt proving as comprehensive as I was led to believe, which results in - guess who- having to deal with the fall out, when I am totally out of reserves myself and not up to it.
My counsellor said the other day that I sound like I have been running on empty for quite some time, and like a car doing that, will eventually conk out!! Too True!! But what can you do??
I am trying to limit my visits and give myself some space but it isnt easy, as he is getting confused with what days are what, etc.
Even if I dont always post, I like to have a look on here when I get chance, as it puts my problems in perspective, and in some way, knowing others are struggling, makes me feel that I am not totally useless myself, if that makes sense??
anyway I hope everyone has a good, restful nights sleep, and lets hope tomorrow is easy on us all.
best wishes0 -
Hi, How is everyone tonight?
Saz, how are you tonight? Have you still got your weekly appointment to go to, if so I hope it went well this week. Nice to see you too xx
Tulip Hope your ok today Tulip, that was a good practical joke you played on your parents, and well done for winning that prize on the radio, must have been great that, hope your well take care xx
Geminilady, hi hun, how was your scan? I hope everything is ok with you. And that you are keeping as well as ya can. Try and have some you time, and relax. Maybe a nice bath or something. As for me and swimming, its a miracle, because I had a fear of water a year ago, due to nearly drowning when little. But in last year i have overcame this fear on my own, and am well happy. Yesterday I went to a aquadrome, and had fun on the slides and river rapids so i am glad to have overcame it. Suggest if ya have the time and can swim give it a go, its very refreshing to have a swim. Certaily helps me, but what works for me, might not work for you. Hope you ok, xxx
Tiff, long time , nice to see you, and I hope you are doing ok? How has your son got on, and how are you coping after the funeral? Dont make me get the wellies. I really hope your ok and keeping well xx
CCstar, you were down in Bournemouth recently, I hope you had a lovely time, as the weather has been great recently. Its a shame your mum is having trouble with her neighbours, is this having a strain on you? You sound like you have been busy lately, great when ya get days like that, use energy wisely. hope your well xx
And hello, to La -Cara, LM, Space donkey, shazrobo, shazza, Gillette et all.
and big

hi rose  I'm doing ok, counselling is going quite well, going for that again tomorrow. Had a good day today, didn't spend it sleeping for once :rotfl:managed to get some housework done and have put my name down to help out with some things at uni.
donnydiva- I'm the same, I don't post regularly but it's the first thing I check on here every day
katie- I love Hot Fuzz! watched it for the first time in ages last week, had forgotten how funny it is! *takes some orange smarties*
beachbeth- that's good that they're speeding up your tribunal, that helps to show how much its stressing you. Sorry to hear about your car problems as well, hopefully it will get sorted out soon :grouphug:
space donkey- glad you've had a good day, the sun usually helps me feel a bit better too
shazza- hello:hello: at least by coming back here and going on ADs you're on the way to recovery, so you're making quite a few steps foward just now :T
Tiff- ooh I love the rollcall! think you have half the members listed on there, just shows how common a problem it is. Good to know it's not just me (even if it feels like it sometimes)
shaz- hope you, Ian and the kids have a lovely holiday!0
