? My Nan's sideboard was in 2 bits - bottom is a cupboard and then this plate shelf/dresser top bit which sat on it. A friend said that these had a special name but doesn't know it. I want to ebay the top bit so any ideas on the name gratefully received.

Not caught up with the rest of the thread so not sure if anyone else has answered this but it sounds like a Welsh Dresser.

Well done on getting your nans place sorted Dusty, must have been very emotional.

    Hi guys

Awww SM I'm sorry to hear that, how frustrating it is, I know DD1 has had the same trouble, but in a different line of work, anyway it's their loss and the right job is just round the corner for you xx

A big WELL DONE Dusty! :T

In from work and I've done me back in bending down hoovering their loft stairs  boo-hisssss, so I'm off with littley and DD1 on a spontaeneous trip to the flicks to see Confessions of a shopaholic - like you do.

I dropped off the letter at the council and bought a stamp and posted it on my way home from work, so I've done something on my list, no doubt I'll be doing stuff later on too.

Mummy2mg- on this morning this morning they read out that a lady had poured water on the carpet, stood over it and told her sister that her waters had broken!

Freedom, hope all is ok at DS school

Hugs Sexy so sorry to hear about the job

Well done Dusty, you have done so well at your Nan’s

Hugs to FFP and DH – hope he is soon on the mend

Just got home to find my kitchen cleaning has inspired DH to do kitchen cleaning! I refuse to do the back of the work top cos it’s always covered with his clutter from when he cooks and doesn’t tidy up what ever he used – lemon juice, etc. He’s taken everything off the worktop including his drinks dispenser which is huge and has 4 bottles of vodka and stuff on it.

My team meeting was eye opening to say the least about the state people get sent home from hospital in, the state of people’s houses and the way they’ve treated some of the carers. One of the carers was almost in tears – she had to get the police out to let her in to someone’s house, when she got in there he was drunk and abusive, and the place was filthy – she said she opened the fridge and it was full of mould. She is a really experienced carer so it must have been bad if she was so upset. Heard lots of other very interesting stories! Ah well, we can but try to make the world a better place for these people

Anyway, the meeting was good, glad I went, and then I even popped into where I used to work (Mr W) and did some shopping. Had £35 of gift vouchers to spend so got £50 of shopping for £15! Yay! Got some lovely food too!

Sorry you didn't get the job Sexy :(

My plans didn't go quite right but I got there in the end. While I was watching Neighbours DD1 and her friend came in, so I taped the rest. Then DD2 came in. They all left about 3.30 so I quickly got the grass cut and swept up. I'll do the edges tomorrow. The local weatherman said there will be a heavy dew tomorrow so I would have had to wait ages for the grass to dry out otherwise. Then I got washed and changed for work and sat down to see the rest of Neighbours.

so I got there, but not how I planned! like life really.....
