Placed my first ever online shop with Ocado, what happens now?

If you need assistance putting things away - if you have a disability etc. - they don't mind if you ask for help, and as an Ocado customer for well over a year (they sent me a free bottle of wine on our one year anniversary in an order!) I have always encountered polite and friendly drivers who are happy to help.
Best quality and value for money food, and best service, no doubt about that.
Enjoy your first delivery with them!Cake please...0 -

No, I'm fine for things like that, I just wondered if they waited for the bags or anything.
Seems they have a lot of happy customers.0 -
When the number of bags in our garage gets too many, we give them back: they are happy to take away old bags, also the boxes they put the wine in (we have embarrassingly many of these).
Tip? I wouldn't even think of it. Mind, I don't tip anyone, so don't trust me on that.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -
it is Ocado policy to take your shopping to the kitchen, or another room if you wish.
but if you just want them on the doorstep just let them know.0 -
This is really useful information and I may well start using them and I have never shopped online for groceries before.:D0

I have shopped with Ocado (an arm of Waitrose) for years now and they are brilliant! They bring the bags of food in to wherever you want it, and you save the bags for recycling . I give my used bags to the driver the next time I have a delivery.
They have protective shoe cover thingys if it's raining and you don't want your floors or carpets to get mucky.
And yes, I always tip them £1 as they are unfailingly helpful, cheerful and on time .
Wouldn't shop anywhere else and yes, I have tried Tesco's and Sainsbury's online and both messed up my orders so badly that I would NEVER shop there again!Penny0 -
I meant to say that they may not be the cheapest for fresh foods but the quality is second to none and in my opinion they have more special offers than other supermarkets. You have to trawl through them all but it's worth it. My best bargains have been washing powder at £1 a 40-wash box and dishwasher tablets BOGOF saving £7-50 per set of 2 but there are many buy 2, get 1 free offers as well as the regular money off offers.
I have just cut and pasted this from Ocado :
special offers right now

pretty impressive I think!:TPenny0 -
