Hi, I don't know about these hotels but it will be VERY HOT. Temperatures for next week are showing 32 - 35+. When you're there, it feels much hotter and it's wall to wall sunshine.

Is Sharm really going to be too hot during May ?

I went to Sharm in May & stayed in the Grand azure, nice hotel and lovely pools with a small water park. We travelled with our 2 children in May and the weather was hot but not unbearable and none of us got sunburn. Be sensible, drink plenty of water and use a high factor and you should be fine. Also it is quite windy on the beaches in Sharm before may and sometimes the lifeguards will not let you snorkel when the sea is really rough as it can be dangerous. Remember that a lot of people suffer with upset stomachs while staying in Egypt, dont know whether tis the food or the heat. We all suffered about 2 days of sickness while out there however this did not spoil our holiday.

I wouldn't really recommed going all inclusive in egypt I went to sharm last year all inclusive and ended up with really bad food poisoning. The food is cheap enough whilst your there tbh, they have a TGI Fridays (yum yum) and kfc.

Congratulations on your up and coming marrige!

I went last May and it was gorgeous! It was quite hot at times but you can either plunge in a pool or stay in air con rooms for a snooze :D

Oh and hotel wise I would recommend the maritim royal peninsula :) 5* and lovely! Also have a thai resturant, italian resturant and an ok room service selection... as well as the all in resturant - we weren't all in but would have eaten in the thai every night given half a chance!

Everyone has lots of good reviews on hotels but still not sure whether to take the plunge on the Tropicana. Since then I've read the Sunrise Island hotel is nice aswell as the Sultan Gardens too. Dilemma !!

    Sunrise Island View...

I was also looking at the Sunrise Tirana but can't find this hotel to book from a lot of sites.

Any thoughts on the Hilton Sharks Bay ?
