Don't personally have experience of that modem, but you should be able, look for Dynamic DNS in the setup

I'd need to see the manual, and I can't find it online I'm afraid. Perhaps someone with this will be along later. Maybe change the title of the thread to include 'Siemens SE572' so they spot it?

This is the best route, which kids will struggle to get round (make sure they don't know your router password)

    Setup an account at OpenDNS

Change the DNS settings on your wireless router to point to OpenDNS's server

    Setup restrictions via OpenDNS website

Won't this affect the whole network though? The OP only wanted to stop her daughter accessing the Internet after bedtime. My router (and hopefully the OPs) will block a particular computer and leave the rest unaffected.

You can set up any router so that it only allows access to designated MAC addresses, but you'd hardly want to go through this hassle every time you want to block her access.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Some can be set up so they allow / block specified IP/MAC addresses at specified times. This would be ideal for the OP - we just need to establish whether hers is one of these (and then advise her how to do it!)

You just brought us techies with our clever ideas down to earth with a bump :rotfl:

Maybe the low-tech 'lock up the laptop' method would be best?

The OP's PC can be setup to not be restricted

One thought, OpenDNS doesn't set time periods when sites are not available, what I'd recommend is that you setup OpenDNS (incase), allow her to use said site on the instruction that you trust her not to use the website after bedtime - if she breaks your trust then block the site for a set period of time. In time she'd follow your rules and trust will be restored
