Hi All I would like to know what you think the best mascara is, for length. I use YSL faux lashes but I am ready to try something else, I am not bothered if it is waterproof or not, any suggestions will be great, thanks
I always used to go to the Body Shop. When I used it, it was so  ... like, you could only hardly notice it. Last year sometime I got a small 5ml sample from Clinique (because I bought 2 of their products and they gave me a little bag of goodies).

All I can say is, OH MY GOD! Seriously! Its absolutely amazing. Makes my eyes seem massive! I think its called "Define and lengthen". Simply amazing. I told myself that im going to get it from there from now on. Mascara lasts ages, and its honestly worth the extra few pounds. It looks like im wearing false eyelashes. Not sure if its waterproof or not, but Im not fussed.

I dont care if its £12 or however much, im getting this brand from now on. Mind you, even though its small (5ml or something), its actually got a lot in it, so it will last me ages.
  • I got the dior just black tube not the silver one I think I was recommended the silver one but I read the post wrong!
However its still fab I love Mascra I think the next one I will try is Lash blast by cover girl though I dont think you can buy it here thats why I love ebay!

Hi, Sorry just to check the 'Define and Lengthen' mascara is from the Body shop? It sounds good.

I have been wearing false eyelashes for so long now that my own eyelashes have gone so short :( I wish i had never started wearing them in the first place. Im fed up now of replacing them etc

Im looking for a mascara that adds lots of length as mine are so short now. Used to use the YSL one a few years ago and it was good might give the bodyshop one a try before I use YSL one agian.

To make myself perfectly clear (sorry for not doing so before), the one im going on about was High Definition Lashes from Clinique.
    Here it is: http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/sp_shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4904&PRODUCT_ID=PROD10409
I recognised it by the shape of the brush: http://www.sephora.com/assets/dyn/product/P156402/P156402_hero.jpg

I have no idea why I said "define and lengthen" because thats the name of the one from the Body Shop, which I personally dont recommend because after applying it, it was hardly noticeable

Thank you sorry got a little confused with all the different brands lol!
Ahh right might give it a try.
Have you tried 'High Impact' by Clinique? Its not the same one is it but renamed?
Ive that one before and really liked it. If you have used it, did you think the 'High Definition Lashes'was better?

I'm using the High Impact Clinique one at the moment. It's ok, but not as good as Define A Lash Maybelline, which has to be my favourite so far. I'm not keen on the shape of the brush of the HI one. Was going to try the Clinique HI curling one but the reviews (on the Clinique website of all places!) are pretty poor!

Nope, sorry, I havent used High Impact before. But I honestly do think that the High Definition one would definitely be worth every penny, even if it is £12 max (since it lasts ages). Despite what Ive said though, if a super-duper fantabulous mascara came out for £15 then I wouldnt buy it, because it'll be wayyyyy too much and id rather save my money.

Thanks, I'll go to the Clinique counter tomorrow and see decide between the two either High impact or High Definition Lashes.

  • hmm.. why dont you make do with what you have and then buy it from Debenhams when they have their promotions. To the best of my knowledge, when you open a Debenhams store card you get 10% off, so it would be a good idea to open your Debenhams store card on the day when theyre also offering 10% off all purchases... Thats what I would do if I were you

Mind you, I dont really know much about that particular department store because I dont shop there much, but you should ask about any upcoming in-store events. That'll save you some £££ ! :A

Well I dont actually have a mascara, I dont really need to use any as I have false lashes on every day. But the store in my area im going to has Dior, YSL counters etc its an independant store so im hoping they might have a few easter offers on seeing as its the only store & there no where else in the uk.
