I couldn't understand how the same mascara but the waterproof version could be so different in terms of longevity, application and quality.

It's not the same formula
You're missing a trick. You can make your mascara waterproof with this:
Non-waterproof mascaras are far better than waterproof, and this stuff is magic :j0 -

I think it's about £14 but lasts ages, and yes, you apply it over the top of your other mascara.
I only use it when I go swimming though

I bought this 2 weeks ago and paid about £17 for it but have to say that I was so disappointed with it! - the brush was too big for my short and stumpy lashes! I've heard it's good for lengthening longer lashes though (what's the point of that??!!)
Clinique's Power Lash is an excellent waterproof mascara but my fave mascara ever is YSL faux cils.0 -
Well I've decided I'm not going to buy full size mascara anymore....unless it's Asda's for a quid ;):p
The big make up companies are always giving freebies away if you buy 2 products or more and they nearly always sample mascaras.
Been doing a bit of research into mascara primers. There are not many about and the EL sample I got is very good. But there is no way I'm going to pay full wack for it.
I thought people might be interested in this company. They are selling a Blinc sample for £1!!!!
Given mascara should be discarded between 1 to 3 months, this could be excellent value. They accept paypal and I think it's free P&P.
