Made the kids and I laugh - but as someone who was on Radio 2 last week and admitted to something rather embarrassing in front of 8 million listeners (sorry can't tell you otherwise my anonymity on here will be over!) Martin should just giggle!!
Nice shirt by the way!!!!!! :j0 -
I never even noticed. Is anyone really bothered by that word?0

Julia Bradbury as in Castaway etc. Wow... Castaway was produced by Lion TV wasn't it, for BBC1. Have a friend of a friend who works for Lion TV in the US, Ciara Byrne. Julia Bradbury certainly has got a lot of strings to her bow hasn't she, good for her. :-)
Taransay where Castaway was located/filmed etc is probably where the majority of my descendents from many moons ago came from.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -
I think that in this day and age Martin's choice of words was fine, I bet nobody complained to the BBC about it.0

I also embarrassed myself many moons ago on Radio 1, 10 million listeners, but hey, at least they couldn't see my face:o
As for the slip of the tongue, it did make me smile, especially as a British Gas rep was on the show too...what was her reaction to the comment I wonder?
At least the brief comments from Martin on Five news about 5 minutes before Watchdog didn't have any foul language, but I guess they editted it all out of that one!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I did notice but laughed and to be honest I think its every day talk nowadays. Most people don't even think about where the word originated. Don't worry, Martin, its your advice we're listening to!0
