Duplicate accounts are now starting to ruin this board. It was quite funny at first, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's starting to get irritated by all this now.

Is there any way to check IP addresses to see who these losers are?

I'm with you. But I don't really see why the mods should spend their time being "dinner ladies" in the playground.

It's us, the users, that are doing this.

How many threads are there being ruined by the same people using differnt accounts. There is probably only a couple of people actually doing all this.

There is only one way to stop this. It involves us.

It's very very simple.

We just ignore it.

But, the trouble is, we don't. Look how many thanks sockpuppets has, look at the amount of threads....its nearly every single thread which turns into the "your wookster, and !!!!!!, and your also sparticus, so shutup".

It may surprise a few people that we are actually, in the main, adults.

If we want to stop it, we need to ignore it. But that takes the efforts of more than just a couple of forum users. I honestly don't think we, as a forum, want to stop it. And I think this thread was just one to create thanks

I think the mods have better things to do with their time than manage duplicate accounts. People should just accept that some people think it's funny to have dozens of identities and move on. If it annoys you, put them on your ignore list and don't read what they say.

Dan aka chucky, you're not the most appropriate person on here to call for the end of multiple id's given your record. All we need now is for dithering dad/topov to come on and agree with you. lol

in the book enders game they had quality socks :j

In Enders game Peter and Valentine Wiggin set up opposing sock puppet accounts called "Locke" and "Demosthenes" on the online adult political forums which, in the book, serve much the same purpose as the blogosphere in real life. Each sibling argues the other's viewpoint in a long, (successful) bid for political notoriety for Peter.

They also go recursive with this, as "Locke" and "Demosthenes" are only their main identities. They also used throwaway identities as opposing view sock puppets (since the main identities didn't acknowledge each other directly at first).
