Virgin Media- services suddenly unavailable?

Hi, have been with Virgin Media for about 18 months. Throughout all that time have always had TV Choice On Demand included in the TV Package. Have had several emails recently about the prices going up for the broadband as they are upgrading it, but TV should stay the same. However this week we are suddenly unable to use the On Demand feature- we have to call them to subscribe. What's going on  Has anyone else had this happen?

I have just discovered the same problem. I was on TV package L. I am told by Virgin that all subscribers to M & L TV options now have to upgrade to XL to get the On Demand programmes. However, their website states this is £7 per month but the call centre state it's £10.50. When I pointed out the £7 fee on the website, they tried to fob me off saying that that was a "special offer" for new customers. When I pointed out that surely a new customer would sign up for XL straight off rather than sign up for a lesser package & then asked to pay to upgrade to XL they had no answer. So I am going to speak to someone in billing tomorrow to see how I get on. I did indicate I was going to look at what Sky had to offer this prompted them to suggest speaking to customer services tomorrow as "I'm sure they will find a package that suits you". So we'll see!

Have spoken to VM they confirm 'On Demand' no longer available for M or L TV packages. It is £7 to have TV On Demand only or £10.50 if you upgrade to the full XL TV package.

I'm on the M package and can still get TV Choice on Demand - is this likely to be because they just haven't got around to disabling it in my area yet, or is it likely they might have upgraded me without me knowing? My last bill was for size M, but there's nothing on the ebilling service that shows current services received other than the latest bill.
