I am looking at the Ishares UK Commercial Property ETF for my self select ISA.

    Any opinions?

Assuming you mean IUKP, it invests in a basket of property shares and Real Estate Investment Trusts so its not a bricks and mortar property fund. It should probably be considered high risk (it lost something like 80% from inception to March 2009). Since starting, it's underperformed the other iShares FTSE NAREIT funds (e.g. the Asian or European funds) by quite a margin, but has picked up in the last few months.

    Hi all,

I am looking for a global technology ETF, but am struggling to find one listed on the LSE. So far I have found db x-trackers 600 technology - which unfortunately is limited to European based technology companies, and I really wanted to include the likes of Apple and Google.

    Any suggestions?
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

Unfortunately, it's neither global, nor is it LSE listed, but Apple is the biggest constituent of the QQQQ, if you can find a London based ETF that tracks the Nasdaq 100 then you will get the Apple and Google exposure.

The iShares Global Tech fund (IXN) is the only other one I can locate quickly, unfortunately it is not LSE listed either, trades a little thin too, but for an investment that would be less of an issue..

Oddly that seems to be up currently 0.4% despite the Nasdaq 100 and the QQQQ being down -0.7% and being near flat on Friday.

Perhaps currency related, US$ is strong today.

Don't know if this sort of thing would appeal to anyone here, but I came across it today and thought I'd share it. No history on it since it has only been trading since end of March, but I thought it looked interesting, even it's not really my cup of tea.
