Another 2p a minute extra to call 0844 numbers what a rip off.
VM already charge extra to call them.A call to the dearest 0844 numbering range ( 5p with BT) will cost 8.84 with VM,currently 6.84.0 -
IIRC, VM already charges double to call the cheapest (½p) range of 0844 numbers - 1p.billsavings wrote: »Another 2p a minute extra to call 0844 numbers what a rip off.

So, to call a ½p per minute number will now cost 3p per minute - 6 times what it should cost!
Rip off indeed!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Yes they are dropping the £1 charge for itemised billing, but introducing a £1.25 charge for paper billing.
Existing M broadband package users, will have to stump up an an extra £2 per month.0 -
And XL TV package going up by another quid. We are on M broadband (being renamed L) and XL TV so we are going to have to find another £3 a month. I guess that will be all the deflation we keep hearing about!0

They also told us in an email that the discount on our package would be reduced by £1!“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Yes 50p reduction in discount for me to as well as the extra £3. I was told when I last phond them that my discount was for life. Absolute joke0

Also we already get another pound discount for paperless billing so will this disappear too as they are charging £1.25 per month extra for this.0

"In addition there will be a new monthly cost of £1.25 for paper bills, which will be partially removed for those opting to use Virgin Media's "environmentally friendly" eBilling solution, though we suspect that some customers will be less than convinced by that.
The spokesperson said: "We're also removing the £1 cost for itemised billing so customers can now get detailed billing information for free. Customers can easily opt out of receiving paper bills by registering online, whilst those customers who would prefer to continue to receive paper bills still have the option to do so. Customers already receiving a £1 discount for ebilling remain unaffected by this change."
