Glitter STEP AWAY FROM TOPSHOP!0

glitterjunkie wrote: »Aw I'm really sorry to hear that Sweetpeas! Just wanted to sympathise as my OH recently went for his dream job and didn't get it either, he was devastated. It's so hard as you are trying to hide your own disappointment too and make them feel better aren't you! I hope he finds something even better soon
Purpleroses - you deserve a treat, hope the furniture is nice!
I have not managed to make anything else towards my challenge today, so that's a bit rubbish after such a good start! I am also extremely tempted to spend £35 on a top and some leggings from Topshop.com...please somebody stop me? It will undo all this month's good work if I do that! I am also really annoyed with OH's bosses at work today aswell actually, sorry in advance for the rant but it's just reminded me! He is not even on full time hours, he's only contracted for 22 hours a week and is meant to make the rest up to full-time hours using overtime. It's not ideal at all, as nobody will give us a mortgage based on those hours, and the overtime is hit and miss! A person left last month who did the same job as OH, meaning there is a 30-hour vacancy going which would me much better - but for some reason they will not give it to him, they are insisting on advertising it instead. Is SOOOOO stupid! It would make our lives so much easier if they'd just do this for him, instead of constantly struggling and penny pinching every last pennySorry for the rant, I am just so annoyed and miserable today!
Oh well, am sure tomorrow will be better, fingers crossed  Going to miss MSE though! My back-up plan is to get on with my uni essay all day, will probably be a blessing in disguise having no distractions on here actually!
Makes two of us, my assignments due on Thursday and I've barely started reading the required texts never mind the questions - and I told my OH that while he was away I'd be getting two assignments done so we could enjoy ourselves without me worrying when hes home.
Glitter leave your money in your purse/pocket/bag you dont need the leggings or top (leggings - just think about some 80's horror pics)

Hey Scubaangel - I'm so glad it's not just me! It's so hard to motivate yourself isn't it. You know once you get started it won't feel anywhere near as bad - it's just getting that motivation at the beginning which is so difficult! Hopefully the MSE forums being down might make us get on with some work tomorrow eh!
Thanks for the lovely 80's image, I'm glad I resisted the leggings now - although unfortunately not the top, see below! lol.

On the bright side though, I managed to not pay the £4 delivery charge (I ordered some other random stuff to make the order up to £100 as that gets you free delivery; I'll just return the other stuff) So have been a little bit MSE, and the top was only £18 with student discount and free postage:rotfl: Still feel a bit naughty though... I used to be such a total shopaholic but have been really really good for the last year or so, I paid off my overdraft and everything and haven't bought any clothes since November last year. I am a reformed character these days! lol. Still, please let the top be minging when it arrives! It's going back if I don't absolutely 100% LOVE it!

True its my inability to motivate myself which lead to me quitting my first attempt at uni (full time) which is why I'm trying to get my family to beast me through enough OU modules to one day get a degree (course I have no clue what to do after that mind other than to be a very over qualified dive centre manager, lol). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
