Linksys WiFi VOIP Router

This is my first post to this forum, so I hope I can do it justice!
For those of you looking to replace your regular telephony with VOIP, I have a few suggestions.
Obviously the greatest savings in VOIP can be made if you have a cable connection, that way you don’t need a telephone line installed at all, saving £10 to £12 per month just to start with. You can run rock solid VOIP on a simple 1/2 meg connection (£17.99 from Telewest for example). For the best Voice quality, make sure you use a good VOIP router (not an ATA behind an existing router) The Linksys WRT54GP2 is a great little router with WiFi and a couple of VOIP ports.
You can get a free [normal] incoming number from sipgate.co.uk and free outbound calls to the UK, Ireland, USA and some European destinations by signing up with https://www.sipdiscount.com (you need to put 10 euros in your account every 120 days - that’s about £1.80 per month for all the calls you can make!)
Using a VIOP router means perfect voice quality as well. All you need to do is set up your QOS settings properly.
I have a page on setting up the WRT54GP2 with a sipgate account at http://www.buzzed.co.uk/alan/WRT54GP2-on-sipgate/ and will put a similar page up for sipdiscount shortly.
If anyone is interested in going VOIP or obtaining (just about) free telephony, then I'm happy to go into the details further, just let me know!
