Thanks guys, I am definitely connected, router green light on all the time :) Its just when I try to go to a site, I get the cannot find, page load error message, I keep clicking on try again and eventually it comes up. Maddening though. Hope mine soon gets sorted too.
If it happens on one website it's the website, if it happens on a number of them that sounds like a DNS problem. TBH it rather sounds like the DNS servers are delaying their response. That can either happen because they have a fault OR because there's a problem at your end like a firewall or something else blocking or delaying the response. The problem is it might also be a virus of some sort that's intercepting them.

I'd update your virus database and then run a complete virus check, preferably in safe mode.

    Good news :)

I'd still run an updated virus check, anyway. It could simply be that the person that's controlling your PC has got his virus 'backdoor' to work properly without you noticing.

... of which this is probably the most famous.

Pretty unlikely... but better to be safe than sorry :)

Thanks OC. I do have the full Kapersky suite, and I run malware bytes and anitspyware, nothing coming up.

So why do you say that it wasn't a DNS problem?
