New customer negotiation

Hi, has anyone had any luck negotiating contracts for new customers? I was initially going to get one of the orange racoon contracts (300mins, 100 texts, unlimited landline calls and free c902 for £19.57 a month) which I thought was a good first contract deal and enough for my usage and within budget. But I noticed t-mobile (who I'm on payg with for about 3 years) have reduced their Flext35 to £25 per month and a free nokia 5800 or N79. I don't need anywhere near the £200 worth of calls and texts that this deal comes with but would pay the extra fiver per month it came with free internet. Anyone know if it's possible to negotiate a significant chunk off the allowance but add in free internet? I'm at work so will phone up customer services later but wondered if anyone has any experience with anything similar (not renewals)?

I've tried getting something out of t-mobile before by using the fact that I've been topping up ~£20 a month for about 3 years but they're having none of it and don't really care, which is a shame.

Thanks in advance
