Electoral Roll updated on CRA?

Anyone know when the CRA's update their Electoral Roll details?
I've been registered on ER since November, but it hasn't been recognised on CRA.
Do I have to tell them? If so, can anyone point me to the process?
Sorry if I've missed it elsewhere on MSE, been searching for about an hour with no joy!

No you don't have to tell them it should be done automatically.

Have you contacted the CRA's to check why it's taking so long.

I'd send a copy of the letter to the CRA's but they generally update monthloy now. Its the council who don't update til March and November so if you just got added you'll get added soon. If not by June then it won't show til end of November or summat daft like that. However, if the council got it in in time, then it will update monthly when the cra check the electoral register database.

True but if the council wrote to the OP then they would say the dates it will be added. Also, when they write they tell you the poll numbers etc for the family members - you then send this to the cra's but they still will not update the systems as it is an automated process like you say.

The letter will allow them to add correction text - that is all.

    thanks for that guys.
I applied for electoral roll and got confirmation in June last year, so I expected to be added in November.
Now you mention it we only got a letter last week confirming who was living at our address, so maybe the council have only just added me in March?
I'll give it another month and see what happens.
Thanks for your quick responses, much appreciated.

    Hi yorkie1980

Looking at my local borough's (Barnet) website it suggests that they update regularly by 'rolling registration', see here:

    http://www.barnet.gov.uk/electoral-register

If it's the same countrywide you should definitely be on the register by now.

Would be a good idea to write to your council / borough for confirmation that you have been added.

    Good luck!
