Phone delivered to neighbours but they claim they havent got it

Hi ,
Im currently on a contract with 3 mobile and I recently upgraded so I was meant to receive a new phone by post. Unfortunately no one was at home to collect it so the delivery driver sent it to the neighbours. But when I went there they said they havent received anything. So i called 3 and they told me that theres a certain person who signed for it.I dnt know my neighbours and when I asked them their name they claim its not the same name as the signature from the delivery driver got. So now Three is doing an investigation and I would like to know what are the options available to me?I dnt have insurance.
Thanks a lot

Don't worry. The delivery company and 3 would be responsible. In most cases, all they need from you would be a crime ref number.
I have been in similar situation before.
My stereo was given to a neighbour (and i definitely know it was) but the neighbour denied.
I reported to Police as advised. They contacted neighbour who re-stated that he didnt sign for anything.
The company agreed to send me a replacement and i pleaded that they send the same driver so we can all identify who he gave item to.Guess what -driver arrived and gave me replacement and then we proceeded to knock on neighbour's door. He comes out and causes the biggest drama of the century. Obviously found it hard to deny when faced with the courier man and suddenly changes his tale and states he was travelling for the wkd and chose to leave stereo on my doorway as he felt it was safe?????
    Wonders never end!!!
  • Thanks a lot. I'm relieved to hear that.
    cheers

Yes he did. Nothing could be done. I couldnt fight him else i would be the one causing trouble. Moreover i had been given a replacement. Very sad he got away with it

It may have been electronically signed using a PDA so ask them send you the signature via email.

Forgive me for asking, but have any of your neighbours recently been seen sporting two iPhones?

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.
