Shouldnt have been ~ are you still having trouble? Are you on AVG 8.5 now as ive heard of problems with it (Well ~ ive heard of problems with AVG all my life :p but 8.5 does have inherant problems)

I was using AVG but since all this I dont think it has been running properly, as it only appears when I look in task manager.

Currently Im using a mains ethernet adapter, not sure its the best way.

What seems odd is that the net connection works for the first few minutes I turn on and then turns off.

Looking at the scans does it appear that I have got rid of most of the bad stuff now?

I hadnt seen ANY of them since the very first time they were shown on tv. I was amazed at how much I DID remember actually

Whilst the sets and stuff have aged the comedy value hasnt at all.

    Id say your systems clean

Uninstall AVG then use the 32 bit AVG removal tool
    http://www.avg.com/download-tools

Download AVIRA ANTI VIRUS PERSONAL (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_antivir/
This will be your new anti virus in place of AVG (if just for now). Its FAR better at detection than AVG anyways

    Net any better now?

I have done all the above but still my internet stops working after about 5 minutes of my computer being on, I am not sure if this is relevant but my Zonealarm doesnt appear to be working, as everytime I click on it nothing comes up or opens even though the Z is still shown at the bottom of the screen.

Uninstall zonealarm then and switch on windows firewall

Assuming it then works either keep using windows firewall or install PC TOOLS firewall
Download PC TOOLS FIREWALL (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')
When installing you have the option of installing 'THREATFIRE' too (another antivirus program). Entirely upto you if you wish to or not.

Worst advice ever as PC Tools firewall fails GRC, alienprik will break your pc.

Which goes to show how unbelievably dumb YOU are if you try to trust the GRC test
