Orange upgrade but will i lose my photo's on old phone?

I have been offered and accepted this offer of an upgrade with orange to a new model of a motorola, (I currently have an LG on their contract) which I actually like better than the new model offered...and this holds some photos (of which I cannot seem to load onto my computer - but thats another story) in the meantime I expect the new phone will arrive with a new sim card, the old one (sim) will be cancelled when the new one is activated so does this mean that I will lose my photos on the LG? will I lose my texts stored on it and phone numbers?(I know I will keep my same number.) and if I decided I would prefer not to yet use my updated phone, then could the updated sim be used in the old LG, or not? I am scared of losing my photos contacts and text mesages (some) containing needed info! Help please! I'm feeling a trifle vexed.....

Your photos aren't stored in the SIM they're stored in the internal memory of the handset. Just pop in an old sim and transfer the photos over bluetooth :)
  • if you're keeping the phone number don't put the new sim card in. I've only ever had to activate a sim card once when i was having trouble activating GPRS. Last 2 upgrades i just stuck with the old sim card.
  • Thanks for replies, but how do I transfer the photos over bluetooth - what do I actually have to do? I don't thinkthat LG 7100 is bluetooth - is it? I don't know much about bluetooth!!!
  • Either use the supplied data cable or infrared (irda)
