LG KU990 Viewty - Any good?

I am thinking of getting myself a LG KU990 Viewty. Cant afford an iPhone, so this seems like the next best thing.

Having researhed the phone in detail online, there seems to be frequent problems with the touch screen backing in and lack of battery power.

Any of you guys have one? Any good? Buy/Avoid? etc

Get the LG Renoir instead, the newer 8mp camera version of the Viewty, much better phone imo and the camera is excellent.

Hi I have had the LG Viewty for about 5 months and I hate it!!
It is sooo difficult to use for text as to delete a written text is a real pain in the butt, I'd give this phone a 4 out of 10 and cant wait to be able to upgrade to get rid of it, at this point I'd swap it for an old Nokia Brick anyday of the week!!!!

I agree. The Renoir is a much better bet. Failing that the HTC Touch HD is a fantastic touch screen phone as well, though it is generally more expensive than the Renoir.

I had the Viewty for about 2 weeks and I had to return it. It didn't quite live up to its reputation at all. It's bulky and the battery life was disappointing. The camera/video were just acceptable - I wasn't impressed with it. Screen could be insensitive and fiddly to use from time to time and menu response was very slow. I'm happy using my old phone instead.

I need to get a memory card for the viewty - any idea where is the cheapest place ??

Amazon is very cheap for memory cards but if you want it quick I got an 8 Gig micro SD in carphonewarehouse last week for £20, thats the same type of card u need for viewty
