Hi robsmum
Sorry to hear about your dog. We lost our 20 year old cat last year. We still miss her. Fortunately she just died in her sleep - she hadn't even been ill. We've still got one cat left but he's 13 now and I dread losing him.
Great news on the ciggies front :T OH gave up smoking over 10 years ago and he feels much better for it (and so does his wallet!) I'm glad I never started.
Glad to hear you had a good weekend. I was sitting in the sun yesterday in the garden, it was lovely. Hope you have a good week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hi Robsmum,
How did the appointment go yesterday?
Hope everything went well?

Hi all, The CCS appointment was hey have completely revamped my budget and I am going on a DMP with them. Once budget takes effect, which will take a couple of weeks then I will be much better off and also paying my debts.:T The biggest thing for me is that everythimg feels more doable and with using CCS it will take the pressure of me. This has got to be a good thing as M.E and menopause playing havoc with me at moment. Going to study Old Style boards again and come up with some ideas for meals and more MSE tips and ideas. Feel a bit better today.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Glad to hear everything went well Robsmum, a bit less pressure is always good. Need to have a looksie at the Old Style boards - is that like recipe ideas?0

.Hi Swinstie, Old style boards can be addictive. I do most of my cleaning from OS and that saves a fortune and really works, probably better than shop boughtm which has to be a bonus.
There are recipes and just loads of ideas. I bought Martins Thrifty Ways book last year and it has become my bible, its such a mine of information and a very dippy book.
I want ideas for making a bit of money or how to make mine elastic!

It's Friday at last and this week has been a bit better. Appointment with CCCS was very useful, have revamped budget(again) and will be doing DMP with them, this starts June. Have worked out need to pay £50 week into bank to cover priority bills and that will leave me enough to buy groceries etc. Have applied to Barclays to open new account be about 2 weeks before operational so fingers crossed CO-OP don't play nasty before then. Spent about 2 hours doing paperwork for CCCS and have posted it and creditor letters today {recorded delivery]. Should be able to start anwering phone again next week!:T
Challenges for this week:
1) Blondetes 10 day- mine is having proper breakfast
2) Menue plan for week having 1 meal fromstorecupboard/freezer
3) Save 20p's target £3 this week
4) Plant more veggie seedsDebt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

This all sounds brilliant! I'm really impressed that you've actually got to the stage where you're able to think about picking up the phone and not freaking out! You've come so far from when you first joined already! ;)Hi All. another quite good week. Actually answered phone to 2 out of 3 creditors, argued a bit with CO-OP and Aqua were a bit like "whatever", slightly deflated that I had no argument. Not heard from Capitail 1.
Had a couple of NSD's which is good. Need to get money into bank, but bit wary as so far CO-OP been ok, but if I put money in for priority bills will they get all excited there's money there?
This weeks challenges
1) Continue on 10 day challenge, having breckie every day makes me feel better.
2) Save 20ps target £3 nearly made it last week £2.80 but still a day to go so may do it.
3) Menue plan having at least 2 store cupboard/freezer days.
4) Have 2 NSD
5)Plant up both veggie plots.:TDebt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942
