Glad you now have a plan to dealing your debts.:TWell managed to do new budget with CCCS advice and realised I have very little money to either live on or pay my creditors. Drafted a letter to creditors and worked out pro-rata payments. Opened all those dreaded envelopes and it wasn't so bad after all. Had my first ever NSD and felt good.
This week I am going to do another menue plan.
Have at least 1 NSD.
Plant some veggie seeds. (I will save there and yummy fresh veg).
Start Spring cleaning.
Cut ciggies down from 6 to 3!
Do baking for packed lunches and Easter.
BE NICE TO MYSELF!
Well done for reducing the ciggies - if you keep track of how much money that saves you that may help motivate you to continue too
Menu planning is a great way of sticking to a budget

This may give you some more ideas too
I think spring cleaning makes you feel better about your surroundings - gives you an opportunity to clear some stuff out to charity too which can help you feel good about yourself....
I like your last line - do be nice to yourself. You are a normal person who is currently experiencing a little trouble - it is just part of your journey through life - you will get through this...
This is a link to the special occasions board - lots of ideas on low cost :money:presents and craft activities there:

This week I am going to do another menu plan.
Have at least 1(3) NSD.
Start Spring cleaning and try to ebay anything that's not wanted.
Cut ciggies down from 6 to 3 (20) to (14) a day this week for me!!:o
BE NICE TO MYSELF:D!
I'm a couple of years younger than you and in a very similar position (except I am on my own - separated from hubbie last year) and am going to do all the above that you are doing!! Thanks for giving me the kick up the backside that I needed. Been feeling sorry for myself - but that dosen't do anyone any good does it. I'm on a mission now.

Hi DFFand Saving Holmes, First svaing homes thanks for support am very into crafty things and planning on doing some gift hampers to sell and make some extra cash. Love the ciggie plan, great idea. Feel much better about things knowing I have had the LBM and also not alone. MSE my new addiction.
DDF there is so much support here and advice. Once I had faced things life was more tolerable. We shall have to do MSE challenges together to keep motivated!Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Good Luck with your DF journey :T:TWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0

Hi robsmum,
Finally found your thread! I myself am addicted to MSE too, I used to go out practically every lunch-time and window shop which doesn't sound too bad, but I'd then go back at night (not only wasting petrol, but time and money) and buy at least one item, usually more. Since coming on here at the beginning of March, I have bought two pairs of summer sandals. That is good for me.
Good luck with the smoking, and hope you are being nice to yourself!

:(Well, after a horrible 2 weeks am now back and hopefully going to be reformed! After the trauma of having poor old doggie put to sleep:embarasseand smoking more ciggies than ever, and crying buckets I had to start afresh.
Have completely spring cleaned the house and got rid of all the stale smells and old doggy odour feel a bit more in control.
Have CCS appointment monday and that will help me get a bit more in control and know what I am doing. I hate the feeling of being out of control and floundering
!
This weekend going to: Do some gardening
Menue Plan
Look at some MSE Oldstlye ideas
Packed lunch baking
Ironing (arrrrgh - that's what you get for spring cleaning I think I have washed everything we own!)

Hi Robsmum - have found your diary and have (of course) subscribed. Really want to wish you all the best for Monday - I'm sure things will look so much more 'doable' after your appointment.
You've had such a horrible time recently - definately definately spend some time being nice to yourself!Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side
